You fail to understand, the screen real estate on the Passport won't shrink like it does on a virtual keyboard, I find that annoying when typing and having to scroll up to read a section of an email. I'm sure the Passport will appeal to portion of the population and that's what BlackBerry is earmarking it too.

Fortunately for BlackBerry those nine are not in their target group and if they can get 10% of the market they and all of their shareholders will be laughing all the way to the bank

Not sure where you live, probably in US, but unless you work in government or in the legal, financial, health care segments you are likely not going to see many people with BlackBerry's. BlackBerry is a company providing a niche product and service it doesn't have to sell 100M devices to be profitable.

I don't think you understand the concept of trading investor, they don't hold stock over a long period. They buy and sell cash in on their returns and move on to their next investment. I've held both Apple and BlackBerry, Apple more so because the dividend and share appreciation but BlackBerry I've traded the stock so many times I've made my broker rich, my record isn't perfect but but I wil say BlackBerry is a better long position than Apple. BlackBerry can double within the next twelve months the same can not be said of Apple.

Good point, but BlackBerry bears only cherry pick on certain data to validate their negative opinion

Problem with your theory is no one holds stock that long without cashing in their profits or cutting their losses

Rear view thinking, HW margins are improving. Chen's plan is to turn HW into profitable division. Partnering with Foxconn is huge as they'll take care of the low end high volume devices something previous BlackBerry had no option to compete against other HW producers.

One of the other benefits of the physical keyboard is that you don't lose any screen size as you do when the virtual keyboard pops up.

Passport is a niche device for enterprise customers it's not planned to be a big seller I don't understand why you can't comprehend this BlackBerry John Chen said so and John Simms reiterated this.

Bbryback do you only read SA for your BlackBerry news? I suggest you compliment it with a few other sources so that you get all the correct BlackBerry facts because you're not totally informed on BlackBerry news.

Passport is just one small piece of the puzzle, BlackBerry's focus on enterprises is the key to stabilizing the company. Converting companies from BES 5/6 to BES 10/12, managing non BlackBerry device, monetizing BBM and of course device sales upgrading customers from legacy devices to BB10 and maintain customers in developing countries with low end devices such as the Z3. There are many movies parts but righting the ship first with the focus on enterprise first will help BlackBerry later with a comeback in the consumer space.
