  • Who Is Buying Gold At $1,290 And Why? [View article]
Just one little minor detail, commercials are net SHORT so they can't be the ones doing the buying here.

  • Natural Gas Production Growth Is Slowing [View article]
I remain interested in Natural gas if prices can drop under 4.300 and perhaps lower to play the summer bounce but in meantime will settle for two sided price action. Am also hearing a lot of bearish noise even at these levels so that makes me think there is limited downside from here unless tomorrow's inventory report is a notable miss.

  • Natural Gas Plunges Ahead Of Next Week's Potential Triple-Digit Injection [View article]
Simple profit-taking, The shorts had been getting out days prior to the inventory release and now its time for longs to leave the trade. The question now is if we see some follow through downside action? More downside like today and I'm ready to get to work!

  • NatGas Supplies Still Low With Summer Weeks Away [View article]
@heraklius Buyers have supported when prices approached 4.200 so a trade to 4.000 is unlikely but not impossible either. However to trade lower with inventories levels as low as they are, i'll believe it when I see it.

As far as price action goes, I only pay attention to the market, don't know about 4.000, its possible but think the chance of that happening now is remote. First we need to see those record injections, this week's injection was the beginning but will it continue? That remains to be seen. Now if prices do trade to 4.000 I would love to pick some contracts up at that bargain basement price.

In addition, the Met's couldn't even figure out winter when they were in the middle of it, I heard chatter of a warm up by Feb and we all know how that turned out. El nino may be on its way but its not here yet.

I would love to see a pullback to 4.430 area but this is not McDonalds you don't always get it your way, will settle for 4.550 level.

  • Has The Abenomics Effect Run Its Course? [View article]
I agree, the Nikkei is my favorite market to trade because it moves, daily moves around 2 percent are quite common and more if market gets motivated.

  • The Crash No One Is Talking About [View article]
To date for index futures, I have SP500 -1.62%, NQ100 -5.40% and Russel 2k -7.19% from the 12month high (yawn). Profit-taking in the out performers as money flows to the under performers, hardly a surprise since markets don't go up forever. When the talking heads in the media finally wake up to what the Russel has been doing, it will probably be time to buy.

  • Natural Gas: Finally A Winning Bet [View article]
I remember the '98 el nino that winter was unusually warm, if we get another winter like that, look out below. However before winter will be summer so special attention will be on the summer outlooks and what weather clues they might provide since summer temps are months away. As I understand it, el nino is currently underway and might be recognized by June or July so we'll see.

The weather chatter i hear is for a 'cooler' summer and a 'warmer' winter, that combination would be lethal for ng bulls if it happens.

  • Natural Gas Rallies As Inventory Deficit Unexpectedly Widens, Confounding Bears [View article]
Its not, this week's injection of 24 is BELOW the 5 yr average injection of 37. Looks like another example of copy and paste journalism. This number supports last week's which makes things interesting for next week's inventory result.

Yes this spike in volume on the decline is significant, lot of sellers entering the market but no surprise the media says otherwise

  • Natural Gas Spikes On Weak Inventory Build, Poised For Move To $5 [View article]
Hi Stoman, glad I can help. The terms are not synonymous, Injection adds to storage, withdraw takes from storage, usually draws have a negative sign preceding the figure but others omit the sign. Y/y we injected 18 bcf more, last year's -14 bcf versus +4 bcf now. For the 5 yr average injection I get +9 not unch but that number is more of a talking point since market focus is on future production not what already happened. On balance this result looks good but as always one number does not make a trend.

Basically that statement is saying is we injected a little more gas into storage this year then we did historically at this time.
