  • Falling Rig Count Could Cause Natural Gas Production Decline [View article]
Very insightful. It's counterintuitive that a decline in oil prices could drive natural gas prices higher, but makes sense when you understand how production of the two are related. One might argue that the declining investment in oil wells will drive oil prices back up (markets working). After all, you're talking about a five year horizon.

    >> As a contributor, you should have a balanced an open view when authoring and comments on stocks.

Says who? The terms of posting in SA are factual accuracy and disclosure. It's implicit that articles and posts are the opinions of the author, and Paulo is not only factually accurate but very insightful in his analysis, and he has certainly disclosed his negative position on AMZN stock. What Paulo contributes is both interesting and informative as attested by his many followers and comments in his posts. If you don't think he's fair to Bezos and Amazon go listen to Cramer or Bartaromo if you prefer.

Didn't forget anything. Point is he's an aggressive investor, he's been badly wrong before and can be wrong again. People should form their own opinions and not just rely on argument from authority.

For someone holding AMZN long, why are you the first person to post on just about every AMZN article written in SA? Worried about your investment, or just nothing better to do than troll these boards?

"Talk about a fall from grace. Legg Mason Value, managed by the once-revered Bill Miller, has performed so poorly the past two and a half years that Morningstar now gives the fund one star, our lowest rating. But should it really come as a surprise that Miller, who was once the talk of the investing world because he beat the stock market 15 consecutive calendar years, has hit a rough patch? No. The streak merely masked Miller's bold approach to stock picking, a strategy that was sure to run out of steam at some point."

    >> Car pic is Geo tagged. I will spend no time proving anything to anybody.

You go out of your way to post "Geo tagged" photos of the dealer plate on a car as well as you and your lovely companion on holiday and then share your travel itinerary on SA, and you have nothing to prove? Right.

As well as not trying to prove yourself, I suppose you are just here trying to show everyone how much you're NOT worried about Wal-mart competing with Amazon despite the fact that you're NOT invested any more having miraculously cashed out at the top? LOL

My apologies, duc. I missed the sarcasm and the setup (doh). I too would feel insulted being painted with the same brush as Gary. Won't happen again.

Hey ducguy - or should I say "duckguy" (reminds me of "Unforgiven") - your ignorance of Europe betrays you as the gator-chasing hick you likely are. The Bastille was destroyed in the Revolution. Dumb tourists who try to visit it find themselves at the Bastille Metro stop, which is pretty much all that's there to see. I suppose Gary likely may have tried to visit it... You guys drop names of travel destinations like you're posting from Taco Bell flipping through Fromer's or something. Reminds me of Gary's gloating about how glorious it was to be enjoying the beach in Nice when unbeknownst to him it was actually about 58 degrees and rainy. I believe your savvy in international travel as much as I believe Gary's hypocritcal and marvelously miraculous timing in bailing out of the Amazon before losing his stuffed shirt, which is to say, not at all.

  • Clean Energy Fuels' (CLNE) CEO Andrew Littlefair on Q1 2014 Results - Earnings Call Transcript [View article]
Yes, they invested ahead of the market, and now the volumes are starting to come in. With new engines showing up in the market the volumes will continue to scale, and they only need about 10% more revenue to reach profitability. CLNE is very well positioned now to capitalize on the play they made.

I wonder how long it will take before AMZN has to start paying real salaries since new hires won't be so willing to accept compensation in stock options when the shares are collapsing. Of course this will bring employee comp expenses back into the P&L where they should have been all along.
