Great article! I'm looking forward to these investment opportunities too. In the meantime, the closest thing I could find was the mutual fund TRAMX. It has some significant Africa investments though still mostly Middle East. Might be a good place to pass some time until the vehicles you anticipate come out.

Hi, After reading your excellent and helpful guide, I desperately want to get out of my separately managed account and follow the strategies you describe. However, liquidating the 200+ equity positions in the SMA will realize substantial capital gains and a big tax bite. Are there any ways to minimize this impact - for example, strategies for slowly unwinding, or ways of exchanging baskets of positions for ETF shares? Or at least ways of calculating whether its worthwhile to make to the switch?
