it would cost me more than $6 in taxes to sell. while it looks like a pretty easy transaction looking back, it doesn't always just fall back and then recover. even at $88 it looks expensive.

Brad, nice article but the whole scenario seems strange to me. i found it very unusual when, less than a year after closing the non-traded reit, ARCT went public and now less than a year later it is being acquired. Not sure it passes the smell test. It doesn't seem possible that the properties have had time to recover the non-traded reit underwriting expenses. i think the morningstar article is a little more revealing.
