  • 3 Reasons To Buy Gulf Resources [View article]
    @ mcfly

Really? You snag the first post and the best you can do is give the standard short line? Well since they've all been proven fraudulent then you could easily provide some evidence supporting your statement. Here's a hint at what legitimate investors are looking for,
any evidence showing fraudulent activity by GURE. Now here's a clue, GURE suffered allegations of fraud over one year ago and ZERO evidence has surfaced to support the allegations. ZERO.
Allow me to share some facts.
    1. PCAOB accountant
    2. Cash heavy
    3. Growth oriented
    4. Profitable
    5. Gigantic short interest
    6. Target for buyout

It's ridiculous that a company this good is trading at a PE of 2.

Gure has nearly 82 million in cash, yet the stock is only trading at around $2 per share with pitiful volume which equates to less than cash on hand. Let's not forget the rather large short interest that has dug itself in to yet another susceptible Chinese smallcap. I'm surprised the article didn't mention the strong possiblility of a buyout as the company is considered an essential element of the Chinese bromine industry which is targeted for consolidation. When this one rockets, it will be a lovely day for long investors and an ugly one for the shorts, particularly if the buyout is close to fair value (currently over $7).

    @ Jason Johnson

If you meant "worst" based on the decline in share price, I could beg to differ. Could you please explain exactly what you meant?
One more question, I noticed that all 3 of the comments you've posted on SA all pertained to "warning" shareholders to be wary of articles pumping or bullish on a stock, so are you the kinder/gentler short?

    @Joenatural

Scam? Crooks? Please post your abundant evidence clearly showing GURE's or GURE's managerial staff involvement with fraudulent activity/transactions. I posted an opinion based on verifiable facts, you posted garbage based on garbage. Let's see if you can back your statements up with something other than fiction or a rerun of the current share price and "the market has spoken" spiel. If you find it too difficult of a challenge, you could always just cut and paste KERRISDALE's hit pieces...at least make it look like you tried.

I agree completely and would like to add that I believe the company is positioning itself to go private based on the following facts:

    Known facts:

    1. Company has been approached by multiple parties to go private.
    2. Company made share options more lucrative to management.
    3. Company had Grant Sherman assess it's facilities with positive result.
    4. Company won't allow the Grant Sherman report to be released.
    5. Company has accelerated depreciation of assets.
    6. Company has received verification from 4 government agencies.
    7. Company is hoarding cash.
    8. Company views being Public as cost/time prohibitive.
    9. Crocker Coulson stated CEO's feel compelled to go private.
    10. Advantages of being a Public company have been voided.
    11. Short interest has continued to decrease and is currently +50% lower from its peak in April 2011.

The above information is not an opinion. The above information can be verified by accessing the SEC filings, CC, and published articles. If I've omitted other pieces of verifiable data, then please feel free to add to the list.

  • ChinaCast: Chinese Filings Reveal Serious Red Flags [View article]
Hey Sahm, how'd this short play work out for you?
    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to see you take one in the pants, but I tell you what, go ahead and jump back over and short GURE again...we should be getting a tender offer soon. Everything you publish is garbage and a blatant attempt to negatively/materially effect a stock that you've shorted.

But here's the good news, everything I stated above is based on my research/experience of your firms activity and is expressly my opinion. I currently hold a LONNNGGG position in GURE. Do you know what the difference is between a jail cell holding an uneducated child rapist and that of a cell holding a Yale graduate?
    NOTHING.

  • The response for 'Jadestone's hit-piece against GURE is a fraud' [View instapost]
Wow, my 6yr old writes better. Marc shared an incredible piece of DD with the investment world (supported by pics/video) which was topped off with verification from FOUR independent government agencies (filed with the SEC) and the best you can do is suggest Marc is on GURE'S payroll?....talk about DESPERATE.
Here's a suggestion, cover now given the "likely" chance of a short squeeze. Your piece "probably" effected 1 mentally retarded investor, you listening Egg?

  • Gulf Resources: Despite Problems It Shows Promise for Investors [View article]
Please correct me if I'm wrong. The Chinese government has repaid over 1 Million U.S. Dollars to GURE for moving factory 4 and people (shorts) are still claiming the company is a shell/fraud?
We're talking about a government that will EXECUTE human beings for financial crimes, the same government that just paid out the cash. I haven't met Ming in person, but I'm pretty sure his momma dIdn't raise a dummy. I'M LONNNGGG.

  • Gulf Resources: Despite Problems It Shows Promise for Investors [View article]
    Disclosure: I'm LONNNGGG

I bought it all the way down and have reached a holding point, with that said, I believe the company pps will climb out of the hole. At the end of the day, GURE is still making an excellent profit. Goldman Sachs is by all means a substantial investor and has access to information that the average retail investor could only dream of. To that point, why would GS invest millions into a fraud? I've never worked for GS, but I would be surprised if their DD failed to uncover the truth about the allegations. How difficult would it be for a representative(s) from the Hong Kong branch to take a trip and see the site for themselves? If memory serves correct, it was stated during the CC that the site had been visited by investors and an open invitation was extended to all. No, I don't believe fraud is the issue here. The shareholders confidence has been rocked from the lack of communication from management, particularly the large expenditures that slammed the EPS. The company is still relatively young and will experience "growing pains" as all companies do that pursue rapid growth. Expenditures made in order to promote growth are all fine and dandy, but management may want to consider highlighting the fact with say a press release about all the good they're doing with the aim of securing future growth and not dropping a bomb on the investors. HINT HINT...Surprises that effect the bottom line in a negative manner will quickly cause the pps to be crushed...as it has been. The company is positioned to do very well and even managed to profit 29c per share after incurring one time expenses, expenses that stand to promote growth and which may be reimbursed by the government. Odds are in their favor that they made a good investment but it hurt the short term. Given how the pps has declined, perhaps management will take on board the importance of shareholder confidence and focus a little more attention on the investors. Spending just a couple million on the share buyback in a quarter would do wonders...completing the share buyback would ROCKET the stock, current prices are enticing to say the least. Given the current environment, management needs to step it up or hire someone that can make sure the Q is in on time, again, this is an issue that effects confidence. This company has incredible potential, it's already profitable and focused on long term growth and could prove to be the investment opportunity of a lifetime....I'm LONNNGGG

Hey KERRISDALE...I'm still waiting for you to make a digital statement in regards to BDO signing off on GURE's numbers. In case you missed the multiple posts and email requesting a reply, I'll ask again.....You stated that GURE's numbers are fraudulent, based on your statement that would mean BDO helped to perpetuate a fraud...DID BDO KNOWINGLY PERPETUATE A FRAUD?......if you again refuse to answer then I will take your silence as an admission of deceit BY YOU.

This is AWESOME. Thank you for solidifying my belief that you are terrified of the upcoming Q for GURE. This hit piece speaks volumes about just how desperate you are to cover. Here's a question for you Sahm...why isn't the SEC investigating/pursuing with your "evidence" in hand? You're a short seller, you're desperate and out of luck. 2 hit pieces in as many weeks. Try to enjoy your plunge.
