  • Examining RBC's Flawed Downgrade Of Clearwire: The Fundamentals Are Fully Intact [View article]
I'm struggling to get all hyped up when CEO Prusch sold stock at $1.74 ... although John Stanton looks like he exercised options but didn't sell them.. same thing with Gordon.. could just mean Prusch needs the money to pay his taxes.. but I never like seeing a CEO sell stock when supposedly so much to get excited about... we still have several months to go before we hear anything incremental on an earnings side of things.. . any type of strategic acquisition is messy with S ownership

  • Apple TV: To Infinity And Beyond [View article]
Apple TV won't work for most of us w/o the help of CMCSA and they'll be laughing all the way to the bank with overpriced tiered broadband plans that ultimately will knock the middle class out for good...

yes, but CMCSA will win in the end.... they are already in bed with the FCC on tiered pricing ... and since most of us don't have any alternative for high speed access... they'll keep jacking up rates to lower and lower levels of usage. unless CLWR, GOOG, AT&T, DTV, INTC or someone intelligent can finally come up with a way to kick the poor overpriced CMSCA service to the curb... it will never get out of lives.

  • Analysts at Facebook's (FB) lead underwriters cut their revenue estimates ahead of the IPO, reports Reuters, passing the information on to a few of their key clients. "My biggest hedge fund client told me they lowered their numbers right around mid-roadshow," says an IPO researcher. He still bought the issue, he says, but flipped it immediately and went short. Shares -3.8% premarket.  [View news story]
as long as he was able to get a legal borrow from non-underwriter bank (meaning anyone on the cover of the FB prospectus can't lend shares for 30 days) -- he can short the IPO -- unlike most IPOs there were a lot of shares in this float, so it is likely another institution was able to borrow the shares. If you sell short without a borrow - that is called a naked short sale and another discussion...

since CLWR is a Nasdaq listed security... there's no floor... the only information would be among institutional trading desk or if someone just hammering it through the pipes.. probably both... but someone with a lot of stock that is smarter than us is bailing....

what bothers me is several in management sold at $2.29 -- and nobody is stepping up at these levels... if John Stanton liked it at $1.75 and still believes then you'd think he'd go two fists full at $1.09 ... i've been riding this up and down ... but stocks that go to $1 usually go to 0 ... so my patience is wearing thin. appreciate the update and taking the time write up the last few weeks.
