Adam, I think LCC has likely found support at 4. Barring more BS out of Europe (don't hold your breath), we could play it for a bounce in the near term IMHO.

LCC is US Airways... the "LCC" was a relisting trick, post merger with America West Airlines. : "LOW COST CARRIER or LCC"...

LCC has the lowest labor costs among the Legacy Carriers. It too is worth a second look at these levels.

  • After Wallet, Google's Only Missing Piece Is The Virtual Currency [View article]
Disruptive technology is a must for Google to take out its all time highs of c. $747.00 / share achieved years ago. Wallstreet does't seem too keen on Page.... yet. Time will tell.

Note: Google+ released to the masses today!

Davel: Thank you for your comprehensive response. Will the acquisition of Motorola Mobility address some of these "issues" you articulated above? Thanks..... Jason

  • A Countrywide Bankruptcy Could Significantly Boost BofA Shares [View article]
Hey look... if you want to go out and buy CFC's preferreds.... knock yourself out. "Almost 9%" doesn't marry-up well with the risk profile... too many unknowns. Best of luck to you if that is where you are putting you money.

Do not forget BofA was forced to marry Countrywide Financial during a shotgun wedding... Hank Paulson was the pastor.

  • Banking On Bank Of America [View article]
<<<<The mortgage foreclosure settlements are key. An interesting article in the AARP magazine indicates many people are living rent free by not paying their mortgages. >>>>

It's cheaper for the banks to let people "stay in their homes mortgage free" than to kick them out and let the property sit empty for months on end WHILE the banks cut through their enormous backlog of unsold "foreclosed" homes.

I'd rather see someone IN the house while the banks "get to them" rather than let the theft, vandalism, and neighborhood degradation take hold.

Not to worry... the banks will "kick out" the previous homeowners when (and only when) it is advantageous to do so...

Camden: I agree tablets (specifically, the iPad) are at the onset of a new global trend...

One specific example: I fly for a major airline for my "day job" and we are in the process of using tablets to replace ALL of our in-flight publications. For those not in the business, this is HUGE.

One can download our complete library, including EVERY approach to ANY airport in the World, without carrying 25 manuals of "plates"

This example is just Aviation.... obviously healthcare records, and virtually any public database... AAPL goes north of 500 more "sooner" than later....

  • Remembering 9/11: Lessons For Today's Financial Crisis [View article]
"yep, it's me writes"..... "In reference to your above statement about reserve currencies, we'll still have to watch things play out, but I believe China will rise to that status (although in the future it will probably be a diversified basket) without having to kill and invade."

Yep: I agree with that statement 100%... that is... it will be some type of diversified basket. This mitigates liability and provides diversification.

I do not believe we, as Americans, understand the implications of losing World Reserve Status. I believe to be inevitable, just as it was inevitable when the Brits lost the Pound as the World Reserve Currency after WWII...

Our ability to consume relative to other nations will change swiftly and absolutely once the dollar loses its "status".... that will likely change Americans appreciation (and perception) of holding World Reserve Status...

I have read many of your comments. I agree with more of what you postulate than you may think. The judging of the "leader" as reflected by my post above from Mr. Theodore F. MacManus does encapsulate some of the harsh criticism endured by the American Establishment/ leadership post WWII.

    Great point, Francis.

Some cannibalization from laptop to pad is inevitable... multiple income pipelines, therefore, are must. Need I bring up RIMM?
