  • Ballard Power Systems: A Solid Buy Going Into Earnings [View article]
ReliOn was cheap to buy and was totally banckrupt. Walmart, P&G and others based their purchase on Ballard fuelcell stacks. they will demand it.. Penalty and warranty cost with unreliable reliOn products will be dangerous to PLUG survival ...
think about it.. PLUG cannot copy Ballards fuelcell stacks.

  • Ballard Power Systems: A Solid Buy Going Into Earnings [View article]
Ballard Powered fuel cell stacks are getting traction in Europe and California and GE's entry into Fuel cell for distributed power system with Solid Oxide fuel cells ( almost like Bloom Power ) will increase visibilty for Ballard...
It is all good news from Now on...

Modi Government in India is building solar panels systems along Canals, to reduce water evaporation and reduction land acquisition costs... Indeed very clever. When they go one step forward, to store excess power by producing Hydrogen for storage and or give it away to the poor for increasing mechanization new paradigm shift will occur. Will it happen soon enough for Ballard to participate in it..

    gree with thotdoc.
go bury your head in the sand ...
Ballard's growth will be curtailed by the fact that fuel cells might not find much adoption going forward.
This is a wimp talking..."Might not" No conviction that Ballard is no Good!

"Fuel cells are currently not economical" Ayush Singh you do generate lot of BioGas .. I can smell it..
Is Walmart , P&G, FedEx and other top 100 S&P companies that stupid in their economic analysis? Not!... These guys working for these companies who made the decision for HFC forklift trucks with Ballard fuel stacks made smart decisions and the cost savings are enormous and these guys who made that decision, make lot more bucks than you do...
"it doesn't seem likely that it(Hydrogen) will replace fossil fuels" Now this a wimp talking again. No conviction.

Seeking alpha should be ashamed to publish your article...

  • Tesla's Fuel Cell Threat [View article]
you said it right "Not only have Tesla and Panasonic been silent on any new cell chemistry, the delays in announcing a detailed Gen III design and the delays in the Giga Factory itself suggest that Tesla and Panasonic are waiting while a new battery chemistry is in manufacturing development."

No decent new battery chemistry for Giga Factory. It is all hot air, to delay Hydrogen economy infrastructure buildup

  • Supercharger milestone for Tesla Motors [View news story]
All those long distance drivers will adapt to Hydrogen powered FCV's including Trains like Burlington northern (owned by Warren Buffet and they almost finished testing HFC trains) , long distance trucks. Hyundai set a new record with its SUV in Europe for more than 400 mile record..

Sunlight-----> Electricity ----> electrolysis --> Hydrogen ---> free fuel for the masses in Sun drenched areas....
In India, They are covering water Canals with solar panels to reduce evaporation and electricity production. Next is production and storage of hydrogen for free distribution so that the arabs acn start riding the camels... We have abundance of Natural gas and oil but still the price of oil has not come down, because BIG Oil sells them in Eurpe for huge profits. Why in the hell are we subsidizing exported oil with our tax dollars. Stupid politicians , are robbing us....
Hydrogen economy is going to change all that, hopefully

  • Tesla's Fuel Cell Threat [View article]
just look at the Fuel cell stacks used in automobiles.. Toyota, Hond and Hyundai .. they are around 110KW across the board. For busess it is twice the size. Standardization is slowly setting in.

Audi Q5 HFC are supplied with electricity by fuel cell stacks in the 100kW class.
(BSNF) Burlington Railroad cars use two 125 Kilowatt fuelcells... built by Balalrd
The day will come when we can just use NH3 /Ammonia to power Fuelcell vehicles with a built in reactor to convert cheap NH3 to H2
With Toyota's proprietary small, light-weight FC Stack and two 70 MPa high-pressure hydrogen tanks placed beneath the specially designed body, the Toyota FCV Concept can accommodate up to four occupants.

The Toyota FC Stack has a power output density of 3 kW/L, more than twice that of the current "Toyota FCHV-adv" FC Stack, and an output of at least 100 kW. In addition, the FC system is equipped with Toyota's high-efficiency boost converter. Increasing the voltage has made it possible to reduce the size of the motor and the number of fuel cells, leading to a smaller system offering enhanced performance at reduced cost.

Fully fueled, the vehicle can provide enough electricity to meet the daily needs of an average Japanese home (10 kWh) for more than one week.

    Successful startup: -30° Celsius
Extended cruising range: 830km (JC08 mode) without refueling

Hydrogen is an industrial gas. As such, it is available in all major cities for industrial use. If these outlets are made available, with an executive order (Obama's of course), BMW, Mercedes,Toyota, Honda and Huyndai will be eats Teslas lunch...
