    Debt induced anemic growth turning into deflation will be bad, just plain bad.

    Living up here in the north i can say for sure that the majority of people in this country think Canada is different.........this mentality will be the death of the real estate industry. The same mentality i saw in San Fransisco when i visited there in 2007. "Everybody wants to move to California" they said. Then boom, my friends home value plummeted 40%.

    If commodity demand and prices tank this country is screwed just like Australia.......

    Good article and makes for interesting discussion. I appreciate that you have actually come and and given a point in time and a level on the market. Even though people will chime in either way i think its great that you are actuallty taking a stance. Far too many contributors on this site waffle back and forth and it gets rather boring listening to people bullish one week and bearish another.

    Good on you.....now time will tell. PS - I'm short the Nasdaq, S&P and long volatility.....meanwhile the othe part happily takes in dividends.
