Ford Plans Both Electric Vehicles and Plug-In Hybrids [View article]
I've been waiting for an EV since the mid 70's. I helped to reduce weight from the Ford vehicles in the emission lab's and crash area all we needed at that time was a battery, and we talked about a 48 volt battery for the electronic of the cars. NOW is the time for lithium, after a period of time it could be replaced for further use to store power from either wind or solar. In the 80's we had Nat. Gas Crown Vic's running around Dearborn, Mi. I would've like to see them on the road back then.

What CEO pays for their auto's?, (CEO has their autos taken care of while they are working at the cost to the company) and some has drivers that take them places, What CEO pays for their flights? Same for health care, and they even have barbers that is on the payrolls and go to their offices, and they have people that will go do their shopping. When a CEO moves the company will go in an pack and move their stuff and pay for their house if its not sold. The average CEO is paid 40 times higher than the average worker. What 40 dollar autoworker gets that type of service? The workers have to pay for their autos, their repairs, their lunches, their haircuts, their carwashes, their mail, and so on. So complain about workers I am sure they deserve it.

Nobody gets out of this world alive, I wish S. Jobs all the best and health too. If everyone thinks S. Jobs is a very smart man why don't you think that he is smart enough to pick a team that can carry on without him? I am sure that he has a second in place just in case he wants to retire ( I don't know what his age is, but there is much younger people that has retired with much less in the bank or pasted on to the next world). I am long on apple, and if I had more money I would buy more.
What is this 700 billion dollars bailout going to......Wall Street (banks and so on) The ones that help screw this country up in not just Wall Street it's also Congress and the President along with the ones that give extra money to in Washington. What we as a country have been doing in not what other countries have been doing is like FAIR TRADE-- they DUMP their cars over here and limit imports or make policies to suppress imports. Thats the same as our clothing and electronics, they pay very low wages and their governrment helps with research and healthcare and retirements. Those that have not worked for the auto industry don't know how things work, if GM or Ford is loss how many more houses will be forclosed? and how many jobs will be loss at the stores? and restaurants will close and their workers not including the support for the auto industry and workers jobs. Who will pay our people in Congress will it be Japan or China or maybe India.
Ford Celebrates, GM Scratches Its Head [View article]
I just bought a new Ford, I now have four in my family and I am supporting an AMERICAN AUTO COMPANY. GM and Ford has helped make this country by having JOBS for how many millions of people, and for the spin off companies along with all the other jobs that provide those people with food, gas stations, stores, city workers, federal workers, and yes the very ones that don't want to help the companies stay afloat. What about the people in Washington D.C. that take the TAXES from all those people?
