  • iPhone, Verizon Lead in Smartphone Satisfaction [View article]
As an iPhone and BMW owner, I can tell you that it's having beautifully crafted and well made products and not a conditioned response. BTW, your perfect phone is a Blackberry by your description. The iPhone would be ruined by your suggestions.

  • Apple: Set to Double Again [View article]
I totally agree. The day I walk into an Apple Store and notice that there are more sales people than customers, I'm selling my AAPL stocks.
No matter which city, or the time of day, that store is rocking!

Are we supposed to believe that you actually trade Apple stocks when you repeatedly use APPL instead of AAPL?

  • The Mac vs. PC Debate Was Never Clearer [View article]
Yes, it really showed on their bottom line. Isn't that the best way to gauge the success of commercials? More Macs sold this quarter than last quarter.
MS should keep laying off workers and keep spending millions on those pointless commercials.
Can't wait to walk into a future Microsoft Store to look at the cellophane covered boxes of Windows and MS Office. Fun!

Good point and you are right that the machines themselves are not what is different. It's really the software. Leopard vs. Vista. The iLife suite, etc. Oh, the Macs also generally look nicer than the cheap looking PC's.

After earnings this week, no matter how you spin it, Apple is doing well and Microsoft is clearly not. Those commercials are ridiculous on so many levels. "Hi, we're from Microsoft and we're filming a commercial, we'll give you up to $1000 to buy a 17" laptop. Which will you choose?" Apple isn't a choice because they don't sell a 17" laptop for under $1000. Obviously the commercials aren't working. I can't wait for them to open the Microsoft Stores so all the Windows users have somewhere to actually go to get tech support. Microsoft will shutter it's doors in less than a month.

Apple has 91% of the market for computers that cost over $1000. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the Apple Store did all that for FREE.

I love Apple's customer service. My iMac hard drive died a month ago and when it came time to restore from my Time Capsule backup, the phone tech support knew exactly what to do and my iMac was back to it's pre crash state. My wife is in the middle of a month traveling in California and told me that the 2 year old MacBook crashed. She took it to an Apple Genius Bar and he diagnosed a fried hard drive. Although it was out of warranty, they replaced the hard drive, loaded all the software, and replaced the key pads because they've taken a beating from our 3 kids who use it. And people wonder why we love Macs and Apple. They go out of their way to make their customers happy and they make awesome products.

  • Does Apple's iPhone Increase Browsing? [View article]
I had a treo for 6 yrs and browsed the web less than ten times. Why? Because the experience sucked. I've had this new iphone for less than 2weeks and I use the web all the time. The iPhone is simply the best cell phone browser out there.

  • When To 'Believe the Hype' of a New Product [View article]
You call it hype... I call it a product announcement. That is what Apple has done for years before even the iPod. Frankly, I don't recall any hype with the iPod. I didn't buy my first iPod until the 3rd generation. After the success of the iPod, there was alot of anticipation for the iPhone. Simply put, Apple knocked it out of the park at the MacWorld expo in Jan 2007 with that announcement. No one expected all the features that the iPhone had. The success of the iPhone created even more anticipation for the 3G model. My point is that Apple is not creating the hype, it's Apple's success that is doing it. At this point, if Apple introduced the iToaster tomorrow, there would be a million articles written about it.

  • What's Up With 3G Performance in the iPhone? [View article]
I've had great and consistant 3G here in PCola with the iPhone. We just got 3G here 3 wks ago and I just don't think there is the saturation of 3G users in this small town. Even sitting at my desk at work, I go from 3-5 bars without moving an inch. Do you get less bars if there is more users on the same tower?

  • Apple's Been iSued [View article]
If people in big cities are having 3G problems, it must be with the network and bandwidth limitations. Simply to many people trying to use limited access. I personally live in the boonies and although AT&T lit up 3G here only 3 weeks ago, I have great 3G speed on the iPhone day in and day out. Not many hicks have iPhones I guess. I'll be in Chicago in a few weeks and it will be interesting to see how the iPhone works out there.

  • Could iPhone Subsidies Be Apple’s Ticket to Mainstream USA? [View article]
You all realize that the iPhone is not actually a phone but a computer, internet device, Google maps device, iPod, video iPod, etc, that can make calls. Why would you expect it to be half the cost of an iPod Touch????? To all you cheap asses, enjoy playing tetris on your free phone.
