If Apple reverses course, it would not be a 360 but a 180.

Help me Michael, where did you find MCY is under reserving? Is it expressly written or did you compare previous numbers or is there an industry standard? I like your research but would like to know how I can look for the same info.

  • Sturm, Ruger & Co.: My Number 1 Share Buyback Candidate [View article]
I did the same, sold my shares, at a small loss in anticipation that the share price returns to price before the run up of gun sales. The market just may be saturated for the time being and all I see is the price decreasing.

  • Access Midstream Partners: 4%-Yielder Continues To Impress [View article]
Shaky Seller- So far you are correct in that the stock has been falling.

Bret- What do you make of the stock falling after the news of the sale? Usually the acquiring company's stock goes down. What are we missing? Should we look for another 4%'r?

  • Marin Software - A SaaS-y Company With A Penchant For Growth [View article]
Well I have owned the shares since a little after the IPO. Marin beats the estimates, guides well forward and the Street basically hates the stock. It has gone nowhere but in reverse. In fact I bought most of my shares a bit above $16/share.

So while maybe "This company's financials stack up to a strong upward trend." The stock so far stinks. Even if the stock goes to your 14.50+, I am still sucking hind tit.

Any idea why the Street doesn't see the rosy future that you and I do?

  • BDC Rankings: May 2014 [View article]
Is it a coincidence the MCC dipped with the rest of the BDC or is it because they issued more stock? It appears that MCC is in the middle of the pack or a little above in most of your charts above. It makes me anxious when they issue more stock and the price of the stock understandably lower does not seem to bounce back.

  • Realty Income: 4 Different Insiders Have Sold Shares This Month [View article]
The author seems to think that if insiders sell their shares it means the company is going down. If you look at his history of comments he does this with all of them. Many of the companies he commented on about insiders selling had great quarters. There are many reasons an insider sells which does NOT spell disaster for the stock.

  • Dividend Champions Ranking: Part 1, The Heavyweights [View article]
Not to diminish the work done on your fine article but all of these stock's dividends, as noted by a couple of other commentators, yield below 2%. Do you realize the amount of money one would need to merely net 100k for income from those dividends?
So from purely from an academic view your article is fine. From a practical useful article, unless you have 5+ million cash in stocks, it is not very helpful. I doubt there are very many readers here who have 5 million cash invested in stocks.
