isn't the fed buying 45 billion in treasury bonds, and another 40 billion in mortgage backed securities each month ? and supplying the required funding for short paper positions, and possibly the physical gold, to continue the gold price suppression ? ShadowStats puts inflation at over 9%

  • The Best Gold And Silver Stocks To Buy Now [View article]
let's all cheer the unregulated free market ! i shudder to think of just how fair the free market might become after the next elections. like the justice system, where you can get all the justice you can afford, it seems that the markets provide all the fairness you can afford.

  • Why Gold-Related Investments Are Slowly Becoming Worthless [View article]
there seems to be a recent campaign by governments and central bankers, as well as the "too big to fail" crowd, to reduce gold to nothing more than another commodity. nothing more than #2 corn, or soybeans.
recently, Robert Rueben put out an article stating many of the same arguments as this guy; gold is antiquated, bulky and basically worthless ! i can't help but wonder why this sudden disdain for the only, and oldest, hard asset class in history ?
why this group of business and financial "leaders" are now counseling the masses to avoid gold, in all forms ?
aren't these the same people that brought the world to the edge of collapse with default swaps, insurance on the default swaps, collateralized debt obligations, et al ?
with the recent demise of habeus corpus and posse commitatus, and the new codified laws on military arrest of U.S. citizens, these guys might just be right. surely, passport and monetary controls will follow soon. therefore, gold, silver, diamonds etc, will be useless in the new economy. it'll be like the old days of living in the "company town"; paying rent to the company for your hovel, using company script to pay for food, going to the company doctor for that accidental ( your negligence ) injury at salt mine. producing ID at checkpoints.
yeah, i can see how gold could be a real burden !

  • Star Scientific May Be 'One Up On Wall Street' [View article]
I dumped this stock a week ago, tired of waiting. Tired of reading inspiring articles like this one. But, the fact is, I don't care if it ever gets FDA approval. If it works to relieve the pain and suffering of people, it will sell. I think I will repurchase my former shares, at a somewhat higher price.tb
