  • BlackBerry rallies following Sprint/Samsung deals, product launches [View news story]
    @KIA,

    Ecosystem, end to end integration having all the software and hardware end to end. BES12 is a one stop shop like MS office vs WordPerfect Lotus 123 which silent, Red et al are.

    Ecosystem, end to end like Apple in the consumer world.

    @C,

    Absolutely, still have a Torch 6, gave away the 7, 9900 etc.

    It would have to be killer specs to pry the Passport out of the daily traveller pocket.

    @Dezeee,

    Ecosystem, isn't that the battle cry of 2013 and KIA? The differenciator is that bb has the full suite. World renown Security, only DoD MDM with highest clearance, DoD holding up Z30 says that things are changing and this is what we will be giving our employees that 's one differentiator.

    2) Good, Mobile Rust et al have devices, let alone as secure as BB? Ecosystem differenciator number 2.

    3) Can Good or Mobile have spit billing for BYOD? doh, number 3 differenciator.

    4) Do they have Voice encryption? Not, another differenciator.

    5) Do they have their own corp app stores? Doh, another ecosystem win for BB.

    6) Are the others truly cross platform? hmmm, don't think so.

    7) Ecosystem, end to end like Apple in Consumer.

    You were saying?

    KIA,

    I beg to differ as BB is doing what MSFT did in the 80's 90's and that's wrapping up plumbing and providing a unified interactive system. Think Office, MFC, .net all making it easier and cheaper to get the job done.

    Why would you do your own compliance when you can by a framework with it built in, huge savings. Remember before MSFT put in Principle, Roles etc. one click db to the template security forms? Wow, 3 weeks savings.

    This is what they will do in medical, industrial and commercial. Hope you have a hedge on your short bet as all they have to do is beat by hair and will that much pasta thrown at the wall enough will stick for a slight beat.

    And the plan continues to be executed yet KIA and the others will say Good is better because they are incorporated in the OS, hmmmm, that was speculation, BB really is integrating worklife.

    BlackPhone hacked in 5 minutes, please. Long JC and his Vision!

    @kia,

    Google Partnering with BlackBerry not Good for Good who things they are good but not that good and losing money for this not so Good one trick pony. Chen was not lying when he said 30% from competition so not buying what you are selling, unless it was the shares I added for 9.81 and recently 10.06.

    @Kia,

    BES12 is ATO/FOC approved and the only one with Knox? Yet Good is suppose to take this business from BB? Not seeing it.

    @Bob,

    We agree to disagree. I believe in the turnaround, I believe the handsets are finally getting some traction hindered by supply restraints and I believe BB is in a position to take advantage of the huge growth potential of the IoT.

    That is why I invest in BBRY. I also trade the swings increasing and decreasing the position.

    @bob,

    I believe in the current path and vision, period. Playing the messiah metaphor. BES12 will augment the falling SAF, short term Handsets will contribute to the bottom line all the while IoT initiatives are being built and sold.

    John Chen is but one human, but a very smart and driven one, one who leads by example. He is smart enough to know he can't do it himself, he is smart enough to know who can. He has gutted the Rim Country Club, cut the dead weight and fat and now he has a lean mean team that is agile and flexible, he has the products he wanted and now 2015 is the year they will start selling and reverse the revenue trend to upwards by june ER if not sooner like March ER although guidance suggests another hit before revenue bottoms.

    there Bob, is that better for you?
