    In 2014 none of your income would be taxed, because the SS is not taxed and so all that is left is the $12,000 of income, which is offset by a married filing joint standard deduction of $12,400 (or $14,800 if both over 65) and the $7900 personal exemption.

    Wouldn't his social security be taxed from the other income he receives?

    I own Guggenheim BulletShares bsje,bsce,bsce. The way I understand it... is when these securities mature I will get my principal back. Like I would if I owned the individual bonds. Is this correct? Aren't the Bullet shares safer than typical bond funds? If not I need to sell. I do think rates will be rising from here.
