  • How $30/Barrel Oil Could Save the World  [View article]
    Michael,
Will you please tell me how you going to get the greedy
people who own the Oil, to sell it to us for $30 a barrel ?

Even if you somehow able to accomplish this impossible task, it would be a disaster.
Every alterative fuel on the market would be doomed.
Every alterative fuel about to come on the market would suffer the same fate.

Who is going to invest millions to build an Electric Auto ?
Not to mention the funds needed for the battery.
Who is going to buy an expensive Electric Car, when gas cost 75 cents a gallon ?

If Oil cost $1 a barrel, it would not bring peace to the Middle East.
The two parties in Iraq have hated each since 750AD
    (look it up)

  • H.R. 1835: Legislation for Natural Gas Transportation [View article]
    Michael,

I hope I am wrong, and that you are correct.
It is very sad to lose faith in Congress.

  • H.R. 1835: Legislation for Natural Gas Transportation [View article]
Hey Mike, H.R. 1835 is ONE of 456 Bills waiting for House Committee on Ways and Means Members to work on.
    (yes, I counted them)

However Members of Congress only work on Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday, 103 days a year Max.

The vast majority of proposed Legislation NEVER make it out of Committee.
Forget about contacting your Congress Member.
You are only spinning your wheels.
They get millions of emails, snailmails, phone calls, Fax's
    and personal visits.

They vote for what THEY want.
The only thing that effects them is they do not get reelected.
And that only happens if they find a boatload of cash in their Freezer.

How much do we pay these people to help us ?
$174,000 a year, for a 3 day work week, that comes to
    $3,346.15 per week.

    ECON 101,

    Right on !
I have a small amount of Stock in Thorium Power Ltd.
They have a way to go to build a Commercial Nuclear
Power Plant, but they are working on it, (with Russia
    no less.)

If you want to know about the future of Nuclear Power,
    Google:
    Pebble Bed Nuclear Reactor.
    Meltdown ?
    Impossible !

    Thanks for your response.
So you are only 99% correct, I can live with that.
Could you transplant a nose on your smiley ? :-)

    Mike,
I believe everything you said is 100% correct.
Permit me to add my 3 cents.
I sent an email to Boone a long time ago, told him everything you said, plus.
I did not even get an Auto Response.

    Phill is not the problem.
Even if he gave them away free, what are you going to plug it into ?
Convert your car ? That costs a lot, I forget how much.
For a Company to get a permit to convert your car, it cost, I forget 100K, 200K ?
BUT the permit is only good for ONE Model.
If you wanted to cover every car.....what would it cost
    100 mil, 200mil ?

Also if you wanted to install your free Phill, in an indivdual Home, I guess you would have to get permission from your local Dog Catcher.

I would not even dream of asking my Condo if I could install a Phill, next to my Parking Space.
They would probably evict me for asking.

I would welcome anyone to correct any mistakes I made.

    Thank you,

  • VeraSun Energy and the Ethanol Debate  [View article]
    I HAVE HEARD OF E10 AND E85, WHAT IS E20 ?
YOU DID NOT MENTION AFTER WE GET ETHANOL FROM CORN, WHAT
IS LEFT IS "WET CAKE." AN EXCELLENT LIVESTOCK FEED. YOU SHOULD
REPORT HOW MANY TONS ARE MADE.
1.5 GALLONS OF OIL, TO MAKE 1 GALLON OF ETHANOL......NOT TRUE.
BIG OIL HAS BRAINWASHED THE AMERICAN PEOPLE INTO BELIEVING THIS.
BRAZILIAN ETHANOL IS NOT THE SOLUTION.....NOT TRUE.
WE NEED ALL THE ETHANOL WE CAN GET.
I WOULD RATHER GIVE OUR MONEY TO BRAZIL, THEN TO YOU KNOW WHO.
WE CAN PAY THE 54 CENTS A GALLON INPORT DUTY, AND IT IS STILL
    LESS EXPENSIVE THEN CORN ETHANOL..
FLORIDA DOES NOT HAVE ONE GAS STATION THAT SELLS ETHANOL, THEY CANNOT AFFORD THE TRANSPORTION COST TO GET IT HERE.
BUT WE DO HAVE A PORT IN MIAMI AND FT. LAUDERDALE (MY HOME)
    THANK YOU
