  • Facebook (FB) accidentally shared the phone numbers and email addresses of 6M users to unauthorized viewers over the past year via the Download Your Information tool, although the company's now fixed the bug that caused the problem. What appears to be sparking more anger than the leak is Facebook's admission that it has been creating "shadow profiles" on members by collecting information about them without their permission. The leak occurred because data from shadow and actual profiles were inadvertently merged. (FB blog[View news story]

  • Acadia: Multiple Data Points Suggest Further Upside In The Stock [View article]
Excellent points. What investors are actually seeing, are the low hanging fruit opportunities of Pimavanserin. More importantly, it IS a "Pipeline" drug. This term has meaning in regard that allows it to be tuned to many existing medications that are treating diseases, and Pimavanserin has the proven results that treats disease psychosis associated with its agonist inhibitors. No discussion on just how the Pimavanserin discovery platform originated from Oxford University, but it is an amazing story. Just this week, an announcement from Oxford University on how Vitamin B and Folic acid plays on slowing symptoms of Alzheimer's. I anticipate many new "discoveries" from their "unique discovery platform" in years to come.

  • Facebook Home: A Move On Mobile [View article]
A suggestion for a grass root metric...Just google about 500 companies. And from the main page web site, take a survey of how many companies now have Facebook links, for promotions and coupons. I read articles of their products and services. Interesting short stories and videos are connecting to advertisers loyal base followers/consumers. Remember, an article or short interesting video is more powerful than an ad. Sharing contacts with similar product interests creates a specific demographic. Many smaller businesses are abandoning expensive web sites, email bulk mailers, and newsletters while relying on their Facebook presence for these functions. We are seeing a major fundamental change in how business is connecting to the consumer.

  • Home: Key To Facebook's Future [View article]
The societal changes resulting from Facebook are subtle, but are in most ways still under the radar. Explosive in the fact that its user demographics span the widest range of age groups, and has no equal in the tech industry. Compared to a phone, a TV, or radio, their application options via the smart phone, PC, and tablet, are now bringing manufacturers of products and services directly to the loyal consumer. Even a week ago GM reversed it's decision from last November, and is now coming back. The SEC will allow posting from companies. Small businesses are abandoning their reliance on expensive web sites and bulk emailers, and are rapidly creating facebook pages. Visa and Mastercard have an amazing upside capability when retailers want to immediately send promotions to users who come into close proximity. The nexus of their technology is in its infancy. Yes, I am long on Facebook, but looking at peripheral plays.

  • This Biopharma Is Ready To Be Shorted [View article]
Agreed...I followed several independent donations from the Michael J.Fox Foundation. Donations were up to $ 100,000.00 each...even while stock was trading below $ 1.00. Pimavanserin is a PIPELINE drug. I sense many foundations for Alzheimer's, Schizophrenia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Glaucoma, already know of the capabilities of Pimavanserin and other Foundations will be aggressive in initiating new funding studies, and also adding to the ADP trials and Arthritis studies that are underway. I consider the fast track for FDA approval will be parallel in Europe and we could possibly see international sales partnerships being announced very soon. Listening to the conference call gives some optimism that it is unreasonable to see it on the market before mid 2014.

  • Why Acadia Pharmaceuticals Remains A Strong Buy [View article]
I have been buying this stock for 5 years. Pimavanserin is a pipeline drug that is in one other trial. It is also intended for unmet needs with Alzheimer's, Schizophrenia, Glaucoma, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. More information is due to come out later this year on another Phase II trial, so activity could be very quick on the valuation increase.

ACAD drug Pimavanserin is not a treatment for any specific disease, but rather a special carrier molecule that delivers other treatments past the brain barrier and binds with receptors in the brain. It is pipeline drug that will be used will other illnesses. It is in Phase II trials with Alzheimer's. It is also a candidate treatment for glaucoma, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and schizophrenia. This company will be parsing out extraordinary results for the Phase II & Phase III treatments for many years to come. Potential candidate for a merger with Big Pharma.
