CN - yes it helps a lot... two primaries now Toho Marine in St. Cloud and Mister Twister baits... couldn't do it without what they are doing for me... first is next week... that's why the boat work is frenzied... every weekend in january... two on Okeechobee, one on Toho, and one on Lake Talquin... or 2500 miles... lol whichever way you want to look at it... have to get organized now... will be no time once the starting gun goes off... frankly i think it is just un-natural to live in those conditions... down here you can fish and golf 365 days a year... like the universe intended... i only spent 3 years full time north of the mason dixon line and they were dreary cold miserable times for me... plus i was in Iowa and way too far from big water... found out that i cannot live comfortably without tide driven water nearby... peace... btw that red bait is the Mister Twister Flip'n Out in Watermelon Firecraw!!!

Howdy Crunch.... i was thinking about you yesterday while i was preparing the boat for the launch of the 2014 season... take a minute and go look at some of the pix i put up yesterday on twitter... @bassfisher3k ... i am fishing 21 events next year.. 6 of those events are over 7 hours drive away from me... all SIRI all the time... couldn't live without it... the mechanics of our SIRI girl right now have me a bit flustered, but i took all the house money (and some) out for the new boat, so I am kinda just ok hanging out and watching... thanks for the number crunching as usual!! peace and happy holidays!!

fafatooey - it is not for everyone.. my wife only listens to 4 channels but wouldn't give it up if her life depended on it... i have close to 30 channels programmed and i listen to them all depending on my mood... this is not a necessity service, but like many disposable income choices many will pay for the convenience and variety. i have said this before on here as well... i have 2 friends here at work that pay for the service ONLY for sports... they are the true fanatics of sports and they cannot live without the coverage that they can ONLY get with one subscription as easily as SIRI does it... yes they could go here or there and this app or that app... they both say the same thing... i get everything in one price... there are a lot of those people... it works

"And, it's obvious that you are brilliant. You let the wife worry about the taxes while you buy a boat and go out fishing. ;-) "

RS - oh I am clearly being Bearish here... i defended (he doesn't need it) CN, therefore I am suspect and part of the vast conspiracy to trash SIRI. Go to my @bassfisher3k twitter profile and see the boat SIRI made possible for me. It's pretty bad A$$.... peace... oh and btw... i landed my first bait sponsor... i am in heaven!!!

RS - Not about liking or dis-liking (is that even a word LOL) which was sort of my point below. It is YOUR view. I have MY view. Who cares if we agree. I wouldn't have a friend on the planet if they all had to agree with ME.... although I am remarkably brilliant, so if they do, it proves they are as well!

To All - it is funny to me that it has now become some sort of bull (SF) vs bear (CN) arguement. CN has written like this for well as long as he's been writing. He is a bull period end of story. He is a bull who has laid out very clear ways to make income on this stock. He has never to my knowledge offered a 'how to short' SIRI piece. He continues to be cautious with the stock price vs. valuation. And he backs that up with very detailed info. SF is also a bull, he does his thing his way. He is less concerned with the detail that CN goes into, but he also provides valuable information. This isn't a battle guys. The different techniques and perspectives provide us with valuable input. These guys are not professional analysts paid to tell you how to invest your money. They are writers who study SIRI and are willing to share. I value them both, because frankly I am too lazy to go to the leg work that they do. Peace

I don't think it is a target market for SIRI at all, but proves that there are many markets that can add value. There are three people here at my office that have SIRI subs for sports only. They don't and probably won't listen to anything else. They listen to 2 or 3 sports talk channels and ALWAYS listen to the game coverage. They are more than willing to pay for it and if you can believe them always will. I am a mix. During college football season i don't have music on ever. It's all NATIONAL sports talk which you can't get in most local sports radio in this area anyway. When college football is over (sigh) i have 25 pre-programmed music channels that i literally listen to depending on my mood at the time. Driving to the ramp at 4am for a tournament is pure heavy metal thrash (2 channels i prefer) to get me pumped for a tournament. There are millions of guys like me that are hooked on the content and ease of use in the dash.

Matthew - for my part, I don't know if this is a long term for me either. It has been. I am averaged in at .95 cents and doing quite well. I have and will continue to re-evaluate my position as all should. I do absolutely believe that at least for the next 2 years I will stay put. But it is always possible that I will dump it all in a blink if I think it's time. Peace.

SF - yeah at least i am predictable... one other note... these tournaments even the biggest elite series events are fished in no man's land most of the time... there is virtually no cell service on most of the lakes i fish... some better than others etc... but we are talking remote locations.. the kind of locations that will be the very LAST to get this so called wi-fi everywhere that everyone seems to think is around the corner... peace
