I hear ya. But it is fair to say that marginal revenue increases that are NOT tied to the increasing SAC (used car) help the overall picture. I get that there are some expenses involved with used car, but even if conversion rates in used car stay low overall (30 ish %) those adds should easily pay for themselves plus add to the bottom line. It is a great market to pick from that will continue to grow. The real key in my book is that the internet side really. As the subs find a stable sort of maturity point, the growth will come on the internet side...
CN - thanks for a great breakdown of SAC and Penetration... couldn't help myself... ; ) isn't part of the rise due to the simple higher sales volumes? i thought some of the costs 'had' to go up when more units are installed etc? i haven't been paying too much attention lately, but I seem to recall that it was tied pretty closely to simple increase in number of vehicle sales which are clearly much higher these days... peace

SF - yep.. used to live and breathe for the circus of this puppy... finally hit some sort of equilibrium point where I just 'knew' all was well... negative BS hype stopped getting under my skin, and just felt relaxed about a good long term investment... end of 2014 or there abouts is my first real possible sell area... again subject to common sense and nothing major happening beforehand... I'll be looking for your article on important thing to consider... Kids are a great and interesting topic... best i can tell you is that they change every thing about the way you view the world... mostly for the awesome good... and a little for the wary bad... you do start to worry about things that probably blew right past you before you had em... i love teaching... and it's my favorite/most frustrating part most days... but the true joy is what they teach you... i can also tell you that you will 'KNOW' if/when/yes/no/maybe on the kid front at exactly the moment that you "KNOW"... and not a minute before... ; ) peace brother

Awesome read SF! You seem to have the perfect "SIRI Balance". I have managed to coast into happy long land without the daily psycho analysis that I used to bring to the SIRI table. I pretty much 'know' exactly what I am doing at this point, and really only check in on her from time to time now to make sure nothing major is going on. SF - I like when you cover the technical side. What is interesting to me, but not a bit scientific is that without knowing or caring much at all for technical analysis (of my own), I had already landed about where this piece stands. CN - thanks for breaking this down and in your last article... i see this mostly as one more step and question mark solved and out of the way... i sincerely do not believe that Malone and Co. will do harm here... i get the debt argument and that bothers me... but less then the share count bothers me... i actually see a huge benefit with the buyback if any extra dilution brings the share price down a bit... i continue to see SIRI in great shape and getting better... i know we will continue to see some leveling off of the sub growth curve but even that doesn't bother me as the company matures... and it may be a long shot hope, but think we may even see a little more innovative push with Liberty on board... anyway... all good here in crazy long town, sitting in my crazy long tower, watching the events unfold... peace
