Want to buy into KM investments but don't want to deal with the k-1 paperwork so the KMI/KMR combo seems to be right for me. I didn't know much about them so have been reading up quite a bit on these but to own which is tax deferred vs taxable is one that still confuses me a bit :( just means more reading

  • More Problems For Bank Of America And Its Shareholders [View article]
    plateofeggs,

BAC and citi are no where near the well run banks like wells or JPM are. the point the author is making as far as I understand is if you invest in quality firms, then such incidences are unexpected. They can happen but very unexpected.
But for a BAC or citi, its not shocking at all. this is precisely the reason why i have not invested in BAC. because i just do not know and given that its not a well run back, i expect such things from them.

  • Rising Risks For Dividend Growth Investors [View article]
If its a blue chip stock like JNJ or XOM, I will gladly average down so i make more in dividends and lower my average cost in the process thereby enhancing my capital appreciation. Its only when you invest in low quality firms where you will have a problem as they might go under.

    kefia,

totally agree with you. if the market falls, then these names are on a discount. buy more. if people are waiting for the market to fall, they are trying to time the market which is a futile exercise for the majority of us small investors.
