Chevron: A High Quality Dividend-Growth Stock [View article]
"Since 2004, Chevron has been a dividend growth machine, and has increased the dividend at a CAGR of 11%. Indeed, Chevron's most recent dividend boost came just this quarter. Chevron announced an 11% increase to its quarterly dividend to $1.00 per share, starting with the June 2013 payment. In addition, Chevron has been repurchasing a large amount of its stock, reducing its total shares outstanding by 5.5% since 2008."
The very reasons I am long CVX and why it is part of my core holdings. Nice article.

Excellent article on COP. As to the dividend increase question I am willing to wait for the dust to settle after the spinoff to see it increase again while enjoying the 4.5% yield. The patient COP investor will, I think, be well rewarded.
Dividend Growth And Me, An Anniversary Story [View article]
Mike, Always a pleasurable read. Thanks for contributing. I have started more than one article only to delete it fearing that my contribution would be worthless. As you know I began my DGI by doing an in-service distribution from my company's 401K last September. While I am still contributing the IRS maximum into my 401K I am very pleased with my Rollover IRA. I am up to 13 stocks so I am behind you on the # of stocks, but I am pleased with the ones I have. Now, my watchlist is longer than my actual portfolio of stocks because of the valuation levels on ones I want to begin a position: MMM, KMB, and others come to mind. Like you I am sitting on some dry powder for now and still fueling my IRA with fresh cash from my 401K. Good luck. ~ Gary
