  • A Look at How Far Silver Might Correct [View article]
Thanks for an outstanding article Robert. The graphs were good for giving us some sort of timeline for starting to buy silver again since I believe it will eventually go back to $50 in the future. Five Plus Investor also made a good point that buying will be safe again when the charts show higher lows taking place. In looking at the chart of ProShares UltraSilver (AGQ), I don't think we are near a bottom yet. AGQ was the leader in the parabolic rise in silver, and I believe it will be the first to recover significantly although I don't know when it will happen.

  • Creating a Basket of Electric Vehicle Stocks [View article]
Thanks for a outstanding article Rocco! It would be great if electric vehicles could have a big run in this decade like Microsoft (MSFT) and Cisco (CSCO) had in the 90s. I own Kandi Technologies (KNDI), and I plan to buy EVCARCO (EVCA.OB) after reading your presentation about the company.

  • 3 Dominant Factors That Will Impact Precious Metals [View article]
Thanks for a great article, Nick! Now, we need to project how we can profit from the rise of gold. I hold SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) as an easy way to profit from gold. Eddy Elfenbein wrote another good article at SA which ties the advance of gold to low interest rates. He suggested that while interest rates are around zero, gold can advance 16% per year. Thus, if interest rates stay near zero until the middle of 2012, gold will be worth $1676. Then, if we project this 16% annual gain out to the middle of 2014, gold will be worth $2255.

  • The Attraction of Gold Mining Shares [View article]
Thanks for a very informative article, Robert. I have followed US Gold (UXG) for several years since it was selling for under a dollar per share. My only regret is that I sold too soon. I plan to buy UXG again because I believe it is still worthwhile owning.

  • Samson Searching for Good News in the 'Little Bakken' [View article]
Ian has done a good job of telling about SSN in this article. I recommend buying Samson (SSN) at around $2 per share. I bought a lot of shares of Samson when it was selling for 50 cents. Initially, I bought them because they were involved in the Bakken area of North Dakota. I have a lot of confidence in their management team.

  • 4 Reasons to Expect More QE and Higher Prices for Gold and Silver [View article]
Thanks Doug for a great article. There are many reasons to be long on gold and silver. We have our economical situation, the love of gold in India and China as well as many other countries, and we have industrial uses. I own SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) and Proshares Ultra Silver (AGQ). I believe the uptrend is long-term for gold and silver.

  • 12 Reasons Why Silver Will Outperform Gold [View article]
This is a great article about investing in silver along with many interesting comments. I have worked in the electronics industry for almost 40 years, and I can testify that copper is corrosive over time, especially in the presence of moisture. That is why gold and silver are used extensively in electronics. I am long on Proshares Ultra Silver (AGQ).

  • The Oil Situation Could Be Worse Than We Thought [View article]
I agree that the price of oil will keep going higher. One of the best places to invest in oil would be to buy shares in some of the oil companies in the Bakken area of North Dakota. I highly recommend Whiting Petroleum (WLL) as one of the Bakken leaders. I also own shares in the company.

Other stocks to consider purchasing would be oil related ETFs. I believe investing in oil stocks will be profitable for years to come although there will certainly be pullbacks along the way.

  • Silver ETF Rally Continues, But for How Long? [View article]
I agree that gold and silver are in a long-term uptrend. In addition to being an inflation hedge, people in China and India love the precious metals as much or more than people in America. I am long on Proshares Ultra Silver (AGQ) and SPDR Gold Shares (GLD). It will be wise, however, to make trailing stops on both of them since a pullback will happen sometime in the future. Then, when the correction is over, it will be profitable to buy again both of the stocks above.

  • Surfing Silver and Gold for Fun and Profits [View article]
Thanks to Glen and everyone for a good article and discussion. I am long on Proshares Ultra Silver (AGQ) and SPDR Gold Shares (GLD). However, I will be setting a trailing stop soon as Radarthreat and Mfarm9 mentioned. I believe the long-term trend is up, but we will definitely have a pullback at some point in time.

Thanks to Running Wolf for bringing up palladium although I know it is not the focus of this article. For those who are interested, North American Palladium (PAL) is a good way to buy into any palladium boom. Any increase in auto sales, foreign or domestic, will also help push up the price of palladium since it is used in catalytic filters.

  • Expecting Continued Precious Metal Strength Through Early June [View article]
I agree with Jeb that $1600 is a good temporary selling target for gold. I am long in the short-term in Proshares Ultra Silver (AGQ) and SPDR Gold Shares (GLD). I will be looking at the 20 day moving averages as Jeb said, though, because we will definitely have a pullback at some point in time, and it will probably be in the summer. The hard part may be knowing when to buy silver and gold again after they have a correction. I believe the long-term uptrend is true, but pullbacks can be severe.

  • Gold as an Economic Barometer: Price Outlook Based on a Number of Potential Forces [View article]
I agree with the author that gold can go higher. I am long on the gold exchange traded fund (GLD) and the double silver ETF (AGQ). I believe both of these can go higher due to economic conditions and demand. We may not see a significant pullback until gold reaches $2,000 an ounce and when silver tops $50 an ounce.

  • Reasons to Bet Big on Liquefied Natural Gas [View article]
I agree that Golar (GLNG) is a great stock to own for the new LNG expansion for exports from North America to the rest of the world. I am long GLNG and I may buy LNG (Cheniere) again sometime soon. I believe we have a safe long-term trend in liquified natural gas.

  • Crunching the Data: Top 10 Holdings of Vanguard Information Technology ETF [View article]
I think VGT is a good buy for a safe stock market return of around 10%. These big caps are not going to fall anytime soon. VGT could serve as 30% of a person's portfolio and allow 20% for speculative stocks, 20% for dividend stocks, and 30% for good bond funds.

  • Canadian Oil Sands Companies: Steady Investment Profits for Decades [View article]
Keith has done a great job telling about the oil sands story. I am long on Precision Drilling, PDS. I have owned Precision for several years, and I believe they will soon make it to over $20 per share. They are heavily involved in drilling in the Bakken area as well as Canada and other hot spots.
