  • Avoid Teck Resources After Latest Dividend Cut [View article]
So wait till everything is good and TCK is at 12 per share and then buy? Your article doesn't really say anything new that we are not aware of.

  • Vale: Another Record Does Not Make It A Buy [View article]
Basically to sum your article up "I think I am smarter then Vales Management Team"
That doesn't necessarily equate to an investment article. Normally i like your articles but lately it just seems like they are becoming more frequent and you are just trying to send out as many as possible. Noone will know if the strategy Vale is pursuing is good or bad until say 5yrs from now. Their management has lowered costs, they have continued with S11D to lower their costs even more, and push out other competitors. I also think they were aware of the short term pain and had these options on the table with asset sales in case it got worse then they had thought. Its niave to assume you are better positioned to give a synopsis of the iron ore market then they are

  • Is Peabody Energy Finally Facing Oblivion? [View article]
Keith i would laugh if after all these articles here you were working for a hedge fund paying you to write these to get people to sell you their shares on the cheap. the return on energy invested in solar is very weak.

  • My Thoughts On Walter Energy's Delisting And Other Developments In Coal Stocks [View article]
They are unsecured bonds. the market is pricing them to go bankrupt in 18 months. If BTU does not file then you are in the green. All im pointing out is what the bond market is pricing in. That being said i am long the same bonds at 60 cents on the dollar :(

  • My Thoughts On Walter Energy's Delisting And Other Developments In Coal Stocks [View article]
BTU 2020 bonds are trading at 30 cents on the dollar. Market is essentially pricing in bankruptcy within 18 months as the current yield pays you back within that time frame.

  • Exxon CEO sees low oil prices for next few years [View news story]
After Tillerson pumped up the XTO acquisition I have little faith in his forecasts. XTO and last years oil route he didn't see coming. 2 pretty huge blunders of the last decade. He could've bought XTO for fraction of what he paid now. Truth is Oil is a big market with a lot of players, politics and unknowns. Take what these CEOs say with a big grain of salt

  • The Search For Investment Serenity: The Look Back Test! [View article]
Market seems to be pricing in future downside to iron ore which would further reduce the current value of vale. I agree i think the longer term picture will look better if only the big 3 can start to push some other players out of the market or make sure there is no more cap ex for a long time in Iron ore(after their expansion is done in a few years) You run these #'s at say 100 iron ore which certainly in a 5-10yr period could be back on the table and now your back to 19 which over a 300% return

  • Here's The One Way Tesla Can Survive [View article]
You nailed it. Most people cannot in their minds silo a business and its stock price as a reflection of its future cash flows discounted back to today's dollars. The Price now assumes a very low probability event occurring. Tragically TSLA the stock has been easily gamed by the masters of wall street duping all kinds of dumb money into a stock based on misinformation, a story and lot of spin selling. Its genius really I just feel bad for the bag holders. Most likely mutual funds and retail.

  • Vale: Short Interest Touching New Highs [View article]
I liked NILSY better in the 14s then at 18. VALE better play at low 6's then NILSY at 18 in my opinion. That said NILSY l in the long term is my favorite in the space. Just not as much upside as VALE

  • Vale: Near-Term Prospects Remain Bleak [View article]
PBR is cheap but far more corrupt and in the middle of a scandal. And their cost of production is higher far higher then most OPEC producers. I own PBR but not nearly as bullish as i am on VALE in the long term. As with all south american companies corruption and politics are major red flags that ultimately will lower the multiple these companies will trade at
