      <title>Tesla's Troubling Risk-Reward Profile</title>

        <![CDATA[John,  I thoroughly enjoyed reading your insightful analysis and your patient responses to reader comments.   I admit that I'm a big fan of Elon Musk's entrepreneurial spirit and nurturing of  Tesla, SpaceX and SolarCity.  Your analysis helps me understand why the stock hasn't performed better and why I should consider waiting a little longer before investing.<br/><br/>There are several recent Tesla events that I haven't seen discussed that I would greatly appreciate your opinion of how they might bolster Tesla financials:<br/><br/>1) Tesla recently agreed to provide powertrains to Toyota; I believe for the RAV4.<br/>2) Tesla recently agreed to provide powertrains to Mercedes.<br/>3) Tesla announced that they have sold out of the current production of their most expensive Model S design and have suspended reservations for that model.  I assume this model, the Signature Performance edition, would generate the highest margins. <br/><br/>Thanks again for your insight.]]>
