  • Why Image Sensing Systems Could Double Before Year End [View article]
I have a suggestion for this author followers. A homework if you will.

Go to the articles link and check the performance of each of his recommendations. There are 25 recommendations. From those, about 3 of them did well. Three.

    3/25=12% success rate

That's without counting the articles on the instablog.

I'm not bashing this stock and I'm not short on any of his recommendations. I'm not interested in any of those stocks. I checked his articles (with sensationalistic titles I may add) because I was curious about one of the stocks he recommended. It seemed like a good idea, until I saw his record. The stocks do the opposite of what is speculated, instead of being "multi-baggers" or "homeruns", they're "bankrupters". The range goes from losers to total disasters.

The stock that I was curious about may do well or it may not, but I just don't like the fact that seeking alpha has given lots of "PRO article" designations to his articles and "editor picks". He also has the "seeking alpha certified" logo. No academic credentials and terrible track record.

    SA should be ashamed.

Agree on all fronts. I still think about how the heck they are able to burn just a couple of millions per quarter...

No problem my friend, no confusion.

Regarding valuation... I still think is too conservative. I have to try other methods and see. But thank you for all the info provided... long ONCS

I just saw a video of Punta del Este... very nice. Reminds me of Cancun beach

    BE,

But for the CAGR, isn't it supposed to be elevated to (1/5) here, instead of multiplied by? (the 1/5 root)

The change is drastic. It would be 1.43 instead of 1.23, which results in 43% annual compounded growth rate.

Interesting story about your days in Uruguay

    Behavioral Economist,

Thanks for your great article. Very comprehensive.

Can I ask you how you got the $0.74 valuation?

    Melanoma market: $2.35 billion
CTcL + MCL market: $425 million

    2,350 + 425 = $2,775 millions

2.5% market penetration at first right?
    2,775 * (0.025) = $69 millions in revenue

    171 million shares outstanding, so
    69/171 = $0.40/share

At $0.74 (your estimate), P/S is
    0.74/0.40 = 1.85

    Usual P/S range is 3 to 5
Discount applied for being in Phase II?
What about the CAGR? How did you calculate the forecast?

He IS the perfect counter-indicator. When his apocalyptic titles about market crashes start to pop-up, I KNOW it's time to BUY BUY BUY!

    Marc,

True; only Kostohryz (and maybe a select few others) are allowed to use titles like that. As some authors have mentioned before, those sensationalist titles are not allowed by editor's rules.

Not only that, he has tons and tons of "editor's pick" regarless of the countless bad calls. Bad calls that, to this day, he still defends.

"At such a volitile time like this, putting "Linn" and "Ponzi" together in the title seems meant to be both incendiary and derogatory."

All in the name of clicks! $$$
Welcome to the Kostohryz show, where sensationalism is the law!

Anyway, don't worry too much about it Kostohryz... no matter how many wrong calls you make month after month, no matter how sensationalistic your titles, no matter if you report most readers that don't agree with you so they delete the comments, no matter if you're plain wrong most of the time... Jack got your back anyway with lots of "editor's pick" for good exposure... after all, clicks equals $$; that's all that matters in the end right? AND followers increasing. Good for you, keep up the good work.
