Always appreciate your columns. We're sitting this one out, though. Just don't have the stomach for paired trades.

  • Chesapeake Granite Wash Trust Is A Strong Buy, Part I [View article]
Yeah. I bought it Monday morning and I am up almost 8%. Should I take the money and run? My first dividend will be <5%. Seems like every year one keeps it beyond 6 years is gravy, or after 6 years one can liquidate and the current equity value becomes your yield.

I didn't mean to imply that I don't watch over every holding. Some holdings demand more concern than others.

Your 52 week criteria reminds me of an investor that Peter Lynch described 20 or so years ago. This fellow would look for stocks at their 52 week low and little or no debt. I don't recall seeing anything about PE ratios in your article. Would you by something with a high PE that met your other criteria?

  • 5 BDCs To Buy For Up To 11.7% Dividend Yields [View article]
We've been in BKCC for a few months...very profitably. Don't remember if Regarded or TJ wrote the article that convinced us. So, I guess, if the 50 day MA begins to point down we will pull out. Your thoughts?

  • CVR Refining - 16.2% Dividend Yield For This Recent Refinery IPO [View article]
The press release said for shareholders of record at close of business February 5. I bought CVI that day but didn't get the special dividend. Does anyone know why? Not complaining. Sold it a few weeks later and earned almost enough to pay my accountant for her work on the transaction.
