"... holding for the long run actually means your kids and their kids inherit your portfolio..."

Can you name a dozen stocks that have been a good investment for three generations? Assuming a life expectancy of 60 years that's a buy and hold for over 100 years.

Water is a much more healthy beverage than any KO product.

I personally don't drink anything drunk by the ORACLE. It's obviously atrophied his brain cells.

    Keep on DRIPin Rosie.

You'll see the "#s" in red on your screen, assuming that you have a screen, very soon.

"A true "investor" does not do it."

Even the ORACLE sold out when the market was overripe. Come to think of it the ORACLE smells a bit overripe.

It's No. 1 because it generated 270 comments.

SA didn't make it No. 1, the DRIPPERs, ORACLE fan boys and so-called chartists did.

But then again that troika is easily led given their "investment strategies"

Oh dear God another ORACLE worshiper.

"... the smartest and savviest investor in the world (via Berkshire).. "

Yep the ORACLE's company says the ORACLE is savvy so it must be true.

What's true in that the ORACLE underperformed the S&P for the last five years.

With picks like IBM KO and XON it's not surprising.

"...there is a transformational economy taking place...just like the Induatrial Revolution in many respects..."

Oh dear God another one who worships at the feet of ELON !

"I was on the board of the AMA for 5 years. Invited the VPMkt from Coke..."

The American Medical Association ? WOW I am so impressed !!!

Um... what are you charting on. Somebodys "system" based on what? Divine guidance ? Tea leaves? Double tops and head and shoulders pattern?

".. but there won't be a downturn until the market says there is..."

No Duh. It goes up til it don't DUH.

    Yeah, um...

Not taking profits means you have to make two correct decisions. Buying the right stocks at the right price and buying stocks that go up.

"Maybe you can time it perfectly - most people can't. Of course someone will time it perfectly , just as someone wins the lottery each week. Doesn't mean it is a good strategy."

Do you really even understand what technical analysis is?

Um? Your charts are simply pictographs. All sound and fury, signifying ... wait for it ... "emotions and/or gut feelings"

    Um ?

Your "... HUGE & continually growing dividend stream.. " yields what about 4% annually?

You can lose that much capital in a day. Now tell me how your yield will be SO much higher if the share price tanks.

    Ayuh Ayuh Ayuh

    Orwell called it Newspeak.
