  • BlackBerry Q2 Results Are Not What They Seem To Be; We Deserve An Explanation [View article]
They are now pulling out of the consumer market. It's game over. I lost a ton of cash in train wreck that was last Q's ER and was completely floored by how few BB10 devices were sold. There has been zero reason to go long this stock since that nightmarish report made it so blatantly obvious how spectacular a failure the BB10 launch has been. Abandoning the playbook was just rubbing salt in the wounds of loyal fans. The revelation that Thorsten takes home over $55,600,000 if he sells the company betrays his false commitment to turning the company around. The only hope for investors after that last Q was a buyout and now with this Q being so unbelievably bad, no buyer will dream of touching this company when they can pick it apart at a massive discount in 2014. There was just no reason to be long this stock going into next weeks ER, except for a long shot hope of a buyout and now that hope has been utterly crushed by this announcement. I tried warning people for the past few months but the kool aid if BBRY investors was just too potent.
