I have been successfully tracking and capitalizing on American entertainment and cultural trends for most of my business career. Most recently, as president and founder of Inkworks, an entertainment trading card company, I led one of the few firms in that industry to experience real growth in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Demonstrating an ability to move quickly to maximize the successes of entertainment properties worldwide, I assembled a talented and motivated team able to identify the most promising properties of tomorrow and license the right to represent them well in advance of consumer trends. From 1995 forward, I was recognized in the industry as a trend setter and visionary, establishing standards for creative and corporate initiatives that remain benchmarks today. My company was named manufacturer of the year for 12 consecutive years. I began my career in advertising sales with the Wall Street Journal, but soon progressed into the marketing of motivational and educational materials for Dow Jones. I learned from and believed in the products I promoted, turning that passion toward innovative leadership in the nascent telemarketing industry. I subsequently built a second business, from a single retail video store that grew into one of the early prototypes for multi-store retail video sales and rentals. Very few have had the experience of being a pioneer in multiple industries, but pioneering is what I have always done. I expect to keep on forging trails and succeeding in developing cutting-edge businesses to positions of leadership.
