Amazon And Salesforce: All Hat And No Cattle [View article]
Hi Bret, I am new to advance option. I am thinking of executing the below bear put spread on AMZN july options. buying $230 put for $21.45 and selling $220 put for $15 resulting in net premium paid $6.45. This makes the BEP $223.55 Can I close immediately which will result in profit of $355 for capital investment of $645 (not sure how much will be the commission 19.99 per trade x 4 times = $80??)
It looks very simple to me but not sure this is meaningful? can i close it immediately up on opening the trade?
Technically, LNKD is breaking down in the charts and target of $85 and $75 is expected. MACD, RSI and volume - all pointing this. Picked up shorts yesterday at 8% pop. Watch out for close below $96.31 on high volume. just a thought!

inventories increased is basically because of the large unsold Kindle Fires... if it continues another quarter, then expect fire sale like HP and discontinuing the product all together.

Guys, Questions:- 1. weak Euro is good for Europe, but where do they export to? 2. China is in for soft landing, India has its own issues + Europe issues affecting India. With EM's slowing where will Europe export to? 3. All central banks (both EM+developed economies) will no longer be able to provide stimulus or printing money any more. 4. Only possible or hopeful is rate cut in India & China, which will take the recovery back in EM and eventually in Europe. 5. Rate cut if they start now will take 6-9 months before it gets fully impacting the economic recovery cycle.
These are few questions, to be asekd themselves by the investor before saying weaker Euro is good.
Next 6-9 months stocks will be going down before they start recovering in Sep'2012. Thanks

Is this going to be negative for AMZN share price when market opens on Wednesday?
Amazon Kindle Fire Is Far From A 'Failure' [View article]
I see lot of people here are talking about the Kindle Fire sales, margins, spent on Amazon website, etc., So any suggestion on where the stock price will be in 1 month time? I am betting for $145 irrespective of where Nasdaq or S&P goes i.e., investors punishing this stock!!! Disc: I am short AMZN
Amazon: Kindle Sales Continue To Surpass 1 Million Per Week [View article]
Actually, selling more Kindle Fire is more bad news for Amazon. More the Kindle Fire sales, more the loss as they are selling it cheaper price. The question all the Amazon shareholders to ask themselves is - are all the Kindle Fire owners will end up in shopping in their website and contribute to the revenue? If not, then Amazon is making loss in selling the Kindle Fire and it will affect the EPS not just this quarter and it will continue to hurt till they realize that it is not increasing the revenue but eating their EPS!!! Disc: I am short Amazon with downside target of $120.
