Indeed, "some of my friends" as a source of data is certainly not that scientific.

  • Bullish Earnings Trading Patterns And Sentiment Collide With Apple's Recent Downtrend [View article]
Has Apple ever had three bad quarters ( in terms of stock tanking at earnings) before? It must have been some time ago, if ever? Very curious about this.

  • Apple Earnings: Expect The Unexpected [View article]
I would think that Cook would be in some trouble if the stock were to peel off another $50-100 billion going forward because of earnings "misses" and/or reduced expectations. In what other company in the history of mankind would one think that a melt-off of $200 billion in market cap in three months would just be shrugged off? It's inconceivable that no matter how arrogant AAPL is going forward that it would not be concerned about further erosion of value. I can't imagine market manipulators could sustain this kind of thing for any longer.

  • Analyzing Apple's Past To Gain A Better Perception On Its Future [View article]
Thanks so much, it's about time someone got it right. I live the comments about the financial media mavens who probably shorted the stock and then drove the price down. People forget how gargantuan this company really is.

  • Apple's Institutional Slingshot: Rational Explanation Of Irrational Stock Action [View article]
Very well-done. It makes no sense that a company would lose over $100 billion in value due to some glaring deficiency in the products, sales, etc. This is about selling off, riding it down with put action and then buying back in. I expect that it goes to all time highs through next quarter report, and am heavy $600 calls, with 100% confidence in my projection.

  • Apple Below $600: Trick Or Treat? [View article]
It's all very simple, really, and was quite predictable. Large institutional investors sold off after Iphone, on the pretext of supply issues, took profits having gone lone last year ( 50% or more). Not bad. And while you're doing that, buy puts and ride it all the way down. If you knew how it worked with these manipulative sell offs, even if you didn't have shares to sell, you would have ridden the put train down below 600. It was rather clear from the start what was happening.

  • How To Take Full Advantage Of Apple's Correction Using Option Leverage [View article]
I would add one word of caution.. when anyone who follows this strategy gets the 200% bump, sell. Don't get greedy, since this stock can sell off for no rational reason after a rise ( and is often done so intentionally by large scale institutional investors). The advice here is spot on.

It would be troubling if Apple missed whisper number twice in a row, given its steady pattern.

  • Apple Shares Slip To 2-Month Lows Ahead Of Earnings; All Eyes On iPhone Shipments [View article]
I agree.. it is so odd that the price would tank 3% on news of a brand new and innovative product and upgrades of existing ones. The news about Iphone delays is the cause, but even if there were delays, then wouldn't it be good you owned a company whose production cannot meet demand because demand is so ridiculously high?

  • Buy Apple Now While It's Cheap [View article]
Very wise rendition. The stock had fallen on phantom like concerns, it is still way undervalued. Who really thinks that Apple should lose $50 billion in market cap over Maps-gate, Foxconn non-strike, and a few other minor concerns? Look at bottom lines, folks.

  • Apple Performance Following Major Product Launches [View article]
I think much of it depends on whether the IPhone 5 will have enough enhancements and new product features so the market will see it as something that represents a new generation. My sense, and it is only that, is that the phone will become the new standard bearer almost immediately. If it looks like the 4s Apple is lightly toasted.
