  • Skies Look Friendly Once Again For (Some) Airline Stocks [View article]
Yup. I just took a quick look at S.A.'s "Brazil ETFs Rally Into World Cup." Kinda like the same sentiment. Also just took a quick look at your profile. With a background in Urban Planning and Regional Development and Real Estate Investment and Finance, you'd understand that stuff far better than I. Strictly speculative. In and out. Not for me.
Actually I held a couple of those ETF's for a while, back in, I think, '09, maybe '10? Made my fortune (ha!) and sold.
Actually, my IRA is a bit short in the Finance stock department. Have ya been watching anything interesting as of late? Something low with potential for steady move up? I'm retired. I mess with the market to keep my brain cells active (and, to keep my pocket in decent shape.)

It wasn't too long ago that I was actually weighing the pros and cons between DAL, LUV and ALK. I settled on Alaska Air and I'm more than comfortable with my move.
As far as Latin America goes, from a World Cup perspective, I would just stay away. It's a big world and Brazil has too many problems, not the least of which is a basket full of uncontrollable violence that, in my opinion, could derail what should otherwise be a wonderful celebration. I'd just look elsewhere.

Not a fan of Faber; but Cramer, as has been repeated so many times on these boards, really is a loser. Cabrera is forever ranting about something. Come to think of it, good hosts are few and far between. Coming from the Golden Age of Television, I'm fortunate to be able to recall the days of true professionals.
Bill O'Reilly and Chris Matthews are certainly the kings (small ‘k’) when it comes to being quintessential jerks. Were I in the position of being invited to guest on either of their talk shows (Ha!!), I would certainly tell both of them, in no uncertain terms, to go to hell. Talk about being ignorant hosts!

  • Growlife: Derivative Liabilities, High Dilution And Possible Bankruptcy [View article]
Matt... We know that some folks just simply can not let go of an argument. They've just always got to have the last word. Tri just seems to attract the argumentative type and he's more than willing to oblige. For sure, he thrives on his own literary repartee.
I would suggest, some folks should just learn to say, "I'm OK and you're OK. We both have valid points to make and, indeed, we have done so."
Now, Tri, try to just let it go sometime. It's over, Marine. Come home and just let it go. Been there, done that. I know it's hard; but, you can do it. You don't have to keep on fighting.

  • Breakout Or Another Bluff? Bulls Seeking Confirmation This Week [View article]
@woodspinner: Wonderful observation. We have to wonder why the oxymoron you point out is rarely, if ever, noted. I do think there's a connection here somehow; I saw a tee-shirt with the caption: "There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can extrapolate from incomplete data"
Kinda like the stock market comparisons between analysts and sentiment motivated traders. Both forever rely on incomplete data.

You are so right. What I find most curious, is why they don't call Cramer's show: "Yesterday's News".

  • Recent Pot Suspensions: The Fate Of Advanced Cannabis Solutions And Full Circle Capital [View article]
I'm just gonna wax poetic here, Bob, but; lemme give this a try:
There are strains of marijuana that have been and are being developed for the biggest bang or sweetest taste; and, there are strains that have been and are being developed for very specific characteristics to treat very specific health issues such as very specific seizure disorders. One of the two stocks in this area that I hold is GWPH. They have been at the vanguard of research for medical marijuana - epilepsy and multiple sclerosis - for years.
I'd say that the stuff sold over the counter, for your social pleasure, say, in Colorado, wouldn't require a medical I.D. On the other hand, the stuff that's prescribed for specific conditions, that's been scientifically developed, would.
That's just a drop kick answer. Actually, your question could inspire days and days of conversation. Truth is, the utilization of marijuana for medical reasons may be just as large, if not larger, than its use for recreational reasons. Mark my words!

Thank you - and, I hope you're correct. I was pleased to see their "Intro to PHOT 2.0" myself. Brief and to the point. I'm a long investor and my only two in Cannabis (at least so far) are PHOT and GWPH. I'm fairly confidant the DD on both of them is pretty spot on.

No. They're trading OTC. I'm not too big on the business model, really. Not sure about the utility of those big prescription boxes they sell.

I'm not as long as you are, buddy! 15,000. That's it. That is, though, the way I bought the extra 10,000 - with a limit order. Actually, I do most purchases with a simple limit order. I'm not a very sophisticated trader.
