    does anyone follow AOD anymore, seems like a very boring but consistent high divy payer..looking to add to my position. something im missing

    • Buffet_or_Broke: It has consistently lost value while reducing dividends, I wouldn't touch it with a 50 foot pole.

    • jwill53: it's lost down 17% since i have owned it (mid-2010), with avg div yield over the same period ranging 11-14%. in looking at this way,

    • jwill53: it seems as if the divy yield is outpacing the depreciation from an income perspective.

    • jwill53: understood, but if i look at total dist vs total cost, w/o averaging, looks like i am ahead about 7%/yr w no reduct in divy since 7/10

    • Buffet_or_Broke: I'm a huge fan of divs as well, but I would look for something where you would likely retain your capital at the very least.
