On your condenser you might consider heat coil around your oil bath and a larger capacity starter. It will give longer life and require less maintenance over that life.

  • Goldman Sachs does not share the positive investor reaction to Westport Innovations' (WPRT +2.5%) Q4 results, reiterating its Sell rating as profitability is limited by high distribution support requirements and the Cummins JV that accounts for nearly all WPRT's medium-term profits and cash flow is scheduled to end in 2021 with a buy-out option at 1.3x EBIT in 2019. [View news story]
I called the Company 4 months ago. I inquired then whether or not they had a conversion kit for passenger car Diesels. The gal I talked with was to send me info. I drive a Volkswagen Passat SW, powered by TDI. Turbo Diesel Injection). It is a total no-brainer for a company who has it's wits about them to have info to convert a TDI. But I haven't got anything in the mail or been contacted back by any technician

  • Westport Innovations: June Natural Gas Pricing Update Confirms Investment Thesis [View article]
Funny, NG is at the bottom because of oversupply. Which came first, "the chicken or the egg".

Now would be the time to get an infrastructure going, either the gas companies that produce NG and are in oversupply of product or the gas station owners who own the stations. Then it would be the car manufacturers to produce the units to use NG.

    Ruling the Markets,

I am a believer in Nat Gas( Boone Pickens rejoice). I got on the WPRT bandwagon @ $37- 1000 shares on it's way to $52. Remember those heady days. Last March!!!!!. Then it went south to $21. All those patents! Wow! Question. How are they going to make a ton of money if they are a bit player and collaborate with the likes of Cummins & Caterpillar. How can you be so sure that they will make a ton?

  • The loss of Japan's nuclear power plants is luring buyers eager for cheap U.S. shale gas, potentially enriching U.S. companies such as Sempra Energy (SRE) and Dominion Resources (D). But companies hoping to export LNG don't yet have permission from the Department of Energy to ship to countries such as Japan that lack free-trade agreements with the U.S.  [View news story]
So Japan cancelled. They shut down all nuclear plants. What is fueling their boilers? They are importing NG from someone? Who?

  • Facebook: Buy At $30 [View article]
Mustluvdogs (Nicole), Thanks for your comment.

I am curious, everyone lists Facebook as a "tech" company like Apple and Google. What is the "tech" product generated by Facebook? Advertising, a tough world to crack, is that FB "tech"?

Mbrillo1, wise comment. Investors will plainly know. If you evaluate Facebook correctly (PE 8) you come to the realization that the stock has a long way to go.....down. Having said that, can you tell me what or where Facebook can go, except for a dating cite. I thought about buying it at 10/share. Now, after hearing Zuckerberg nixing the business world, keeping it social media, I won't touch it.

Typical, a country that we spend billions of $$$ in support has a need and we can't bureaucratically Deal with them.

Japan has shut down their last turbine(nuclear). They're buying coal from China. No other source. I don't know if they have CNG turbines but i suspect they do. That will help their national grid. Why don't we ship/Japan is not under trade agreement scrutiny. We support them as we do Israel.
