  • The Case Of The Bid-Button Happy BlackBerry Short Seller [View article]
Someone on here once said that Prem Watsa must know how to battle shorts. Perhaps his (and TH's) plan all along was to say nothing and let all of the negative and misleading press do his work for him. Just let the shorts think that the silence from the company regarding poor sales reports etc. was an indication that the turnaround was failing. Then when they least expect it... no where(and little time)to hide!
I really have no desire to see people lose money but some of the things said by the bears on here are disgusting at best. I'm not an Apple fan but I also wouldn't want to see someone who works there lose their job either. I currently use a Galaxy S3 and I would trade even up for my old BB Bold in a heartbeat. When my contract was up last year it didn't look good for BB and I didn't want to wait for a phone that might not even make it to the market. I know there are a lot of Droid fans but I'm not one. I use my phone for business and the S3 is just not a smooth operating phone... but I wont slander Samsung by publishing untrue facts about their products. Instead I invested heavily in BB because I like their products and the direction they are going in. If I lose, I lose and if I win ,I win. But to wish a company goes bankrupt and thousands of people lose their livelihood is a little much to ask because you made the wrong bet!
    LONG BB!

  • BlackBerry 10 Feature May Run Into Big Snag [View article]
Did you know that if you dial the wrong number on your new Z10, and the person you reach has call display, they can actually see your cell number?. Think of the havoc this could wreak!. I would sell all of my Blackberry shares immediately.
Bear journalism has reached a new low.
    Long (and large) BB!

  • BlackBerry (BBRY -6.9%) plummets as the WSJ reports AT&T (T) "doesn't appear to be highlighting" the Z10 on its launch day, or "giving it prominent shelf space at its stores." The paper observes "fewer than 20 people" arrived at two Manhattan AT&T stores to see the Z10, and that a San Francisco store chose to display it "at a back corner of the store, away from a large sign advertising the iPhone 5." I find it very fascinating, and amusing that everyone is willing to place so much faith in news reports (good or bad) about Blackberry. From what I have read, with a few exceptions, most of the writers and analysts are simply putting their own spin on the information available. Some distort the facts, some conveniently omit figures, and some outright lie. Until a few years ago, Blackberry was considered to be a very well built phone, reliable and they provided a very secure network for those who needed it. The refusal of previous management to look in the rear view mirror during the race caused the company to be where they are today. I personally doubt if they can get back to where they once were with all of the options available today, but I do believe they can succeed. Their new phones are " stylish, trendy and hip" but still offer security that so far (imho) is unmatched.
So until Mr. Heins announces the numbers, the writers and analysts will continue to try and win you over to whatever side is scratching their back that particular day. But to those who outright lie.. remember this : “Anyone who doesn’t take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted in large ones, either.”

  • BlackBerry: A Worthwhile Speculation [View article]
Interesting when a major retailer only offers this feature on a particular cell phone. This is just the beginning....

Yongzhou really needs to zing a new zong.. he is badly out of tune. And as for the use of the letter Z.. a little advice. The phones of the future are here now.. and they start with Z.
