  • Apple Won't Buy BlackBerry [View article]
Why are so many companies switching from BB to iOS ? The largest Fortune 500 companies in my city have all gone to BYOD and are using third party companies or internal for their secure email, contact, and calendar features.

    Superior capabilities.....
    Lacking native apps
    Lacking satellite images in maps
    Lacking outlook sync
    Lacking cloud
    Lacking voice capabilities like Siri
    Lacking ecosystem of books, music

The new Z10 hardware is on par, but software is not there yet.

Good Technologies reported that of the Fortune 100 companies most are choosing iOS. BB not even 1%.

Until BB releases actual sales numbers then any projections are a just a guess.

Speaking of maps.....why is there no satellite images in the maps app.

Why doesn't Heins just tell us how many units have been sold instead of using adjectives.

BB has no market left here......Enterprise has moved on.

    Two years too late......

Z10 headed to India for quick sale of unsold inventory.

BB cut from US Department of Defense

The Pentagon's budget for BlackBerry 10 device testing will be cut dramatically in the near future, and with the Department of Defense finishing up testing on Android devices and Apple's iOS, the already struggling Canadian handset maker may lose even more ground in an industry where it was once a dominant force.

  • Apple Is Worth $265 [View article]
Actually I think the author meant $2.65 a share. As long as you are blowing smoke make it a big white smokestack.

Since my delete button did not work.....

I just found myself using "whiteout" on my Ipad.

  • BlackBerry: A Lot Depends On The U.S. Launch [View article]
Apple sold 70 million iOS devices last quarter.

The education (schools) are switching to iPad to replace textbooks and teacher/ student communication.
iTunes U provides a free university to people all over the world.
iBooks allows mac users to create their own books with a free app from Apple.
Aviation industry using iPad and iPhones in cockpits for navigation tools, flight planning, scheduling, weather, etc...
Medical industry including doctors and nurses using iPhone and iPads .
Enterprise using iPhone and iPad as business tools of choice for meetings, product presentations, etc...

These markets are just getting started and Apple created the two products that are the business tools of choice.

Try and learn about what is going on in these markets before you make a comment that Apple is dead.

Ford is not on the list. They already have a partnership with Microsoft and yes it did not work very well.

Siri works very well. It has been copied by android and BB on their latest phones. But Siri can do a lot more than either.
Until you use it you will not understand how well it works.

  • Lack Of Apps Not Necessarily A Deterrent For BlackBerry Z10's Success [View article]
    I appreciate your comments.

As we can certainly can disagree but comments coming from the major tech review companies posted in YOu Tibe conclude that there are a few new features but others are lacking, already exist in Android and iOS.
Almost as good will not get Android or Apple users to switch.
The security features are strong but have lost importance over the past two years with BYOD.
My business colleages have moved on from BB when they were allowed to pick their own phone with the iPhone 5 and iPad being the majority choice.

    Good luck to BB

  • BlackBerry Sales May Be Better Than Expected [View article]
Why not just call BB and ask them to release their ACTUAL sales numbers.

They will be out at the end of the month anyway.

    Something to hide?

Personally I think they sold some where between 10,000 and 10,000,000.

  • The Massive Underperformance Of Apple Vs. Amazon [View article]
The inroads Apple is making into :
    Education
    Medical field
    Aviation
    Enterprise

    Are just beginning.
These areas will provide growth going forward.
China will provide the growth in the consumer end of their products.
Brazil and India are still untapped markets.
Apple numbers have grown so large and so fast, it will be difficult to see these 50% year over year growth numbers continue. I get that..but the market never gave Apple a higher P/ E multiple than 18 the four years sales went from 32 billion to 156 billion.
