A lot of folks over the last couple of days or weeks have been speculating over the Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) Q1 2009 conference call tomorrow morning. People have been wondering whether subscriber numbers have gone up or down and how the auto sale numbers affected the first quarter. Was it a growth quarter or not?
The reality is that for tomorrow's conference call, all Sirius XM Radio management team has to do is successfully sprinkle a few "buzz words" through out the conference call. Namely the iPhone (NASDAQ:AAPL) buzz word. If Sirius XM Radio management team successfully does that on tomorrow’s conference call, the stock is heading upward.
The Sirius XM Radio iPhone application was announced on the previous Q4 2008 conference call to be released sometime in Q2. The application should be launched any day now. Any color provided by the management team on tomorrow’s conference call is a positive for the stock.
I'm not saying to ignore fundamentals, but for the most part fundamentals are improving and synergies are being gained. For Sirius XM Radio, commonly used "buzz words" is what's important for the short term.
