117% Gain in the KBW Bank Index Since Early March

The KBW Bank Sector (^BKX) is a capitalization-weighted index composed of 24 geographically diverse stocks representing national money center banks and leading regional institutions, including Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), Citigroup (NYSE:C), Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC), etc. (see list here).

The bank index closed above 40 yesterday for the first time since the first week of January, and jumped by 11.5% from Tuesday's close, and 20.7% over the last week. From the March 6 bottom, KBW Bank Index has increased by 117%.
