Cramer's Lightning Round - Component Plays Are Dangerous (5/31/13)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round segment of Jim Cramer's Mad Money Program, Friday May 31.

Bullish Calls:

U.S. Airways (LCC): "This is a merger with American Airlines. It is an 18 month story. The market is headed down, and everything is headed down, but this is an 18 month story, and I really like it."

Opko Health (NASDAQ:OPK): "I think it is coming in. I think you've got to buy it. CEO Dr. Phil Frost is a genius. The stock has a lot of good things in the pipeline. You want to wait for it to come down and buy some."

Denbury Resource (NYSE:DNR): "It has been a huge win. I think oil is coming down, so take some off the table, but don't sell it all."

NPS Pharma (NASDAQ:NPSP): "We like that it is an orphan drug play. That is terrific, and an easy call."

Honeywell (NYSE:HON): "Honeywell is better run than Xerox and it is inexpensive."

Weyerhaeuser (NYSE:WY), Pfizer (NYSE:PFE): "That is what you should do (hold on to WY). WY was down, so we bought some for the charitable trust. PFE is too inexpensive. Don't sell it right here."

Salesforce (NYSE:CRM): "It had yen problems. I still think it is good. High multiple stocks are not the best place to be, but I do think Salesforce is going to come back."

Bearish Calls:

TriQuint (TQNT): "I don't like the component plays. You've got a chance to ring the register. Those component plays are dangerous."

Xerox (NYSE:XRX): "Is just okay. I don't see any upside. Why not buy Honeywell?"

3D Systems (NYSE:DDD): "It is not my favorite. I think 3D stocks are vulnerable to profit taking. Let's be very careful."
