Health Net (NYSE:HNT) is a managed care company that operates in California, Arizona, Oregon and Washington. It offers a full spectrum of managed care products and services to businesses and individuals. It also has a government sponsored contract with the Department of Defense under the TRICARE program.

Health Net is a small player amongst giants like UnitedHealth (NYSE:UNH), Express Scripts (NASDAQ:ESRX), WellPoint (WLP), Kaiser Permanente, Humana (NYSE:HUM) and Blue Shield of California.
