I, among others, have been bearish on shares of Mellanox (NASDAQ:MLNX) as it has been widely perceived that Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) would likely go about a large scale integration of the InfiniBand interface onto its high end Xeon processors in the CY2015 timeframe. I believe that such fears are - in light of recent evidence - overblown and that Mellanox's primary threat comes from discrete Infiniband adapters and switches from Intel, rather than from integration that would ultimately leave Mellanox unable to compete.
