Will New York stocks crest the 10,000 mark soon?
U.S. stock futures soared Wednesday morning, pushed higher by Intel Corp.'s (NASDAQ:INTC) sales forecast late Tuesday. All markets were generally on the rise in early trading, with gold and oil also surging as the U.S. dollar continues to sink ever lower.
Overseas markets also rose after Intel said it expects fourth-quarter revenues to top analysts' forecastors. Markets were still waiting for two key quarter reporters, from JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:JPM) and Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:ABT), and a reading of U.S. retail sales.
Dow Jones industrial average futures soared 104 to 9.913, while S&P 500 futures rose 13 to 1,082. Nasdaq 100 index jumped 21 to 1,748.
