Imax Corp. (ticker: IMAX) announced that it signed two new theater deals in Central America: Guatemala City, Guatemala and San Jose, Costa Rica.

Imax recently signed deals to build theaters in China and The Netherlands, as well as Europe, Asia and the Middle East.  Including the recently signed deals, Imax is expected to install five new theaters in Latin America by 2007.

Quick comment: Its no wonder that investor expectations are sky high for Imax (the stock fell 11% after a recent conference when it didn't raise guidance).  The company seems to sign up a new theater operator every week.  With Imax set to report earnings sometime soon, here's a recap of its latest guidance from its 3Q04 earnings conference call.
