Cramer's Stop Trading! Verizon and AT&T Are Unstoppable (12/8/09)

Includes: CEPH, FNFG, NYCB, T, VZ

Stocks discussed on Jim Cramer's Stop Trading! TV Segment, Tuesday December 8.

AT&T (NYSE:T), Verizon (NYSE:VZ), New York Community Bancorp (NYB), First Niagara Financial (NASDAQ:FNFG), Cephalon (NASDAQ:CEPH)

Cramer said AT&T (T) and Verizon (VZ) are "unstoppable" and have better yields than Treasurys. He thinks the companies will continue to raise their dividends.

One play on the American Society of Hematology Conference is Cephalon (CEPH), which has been "a real dog" in the past, but has room for upside, especially since its treatment for non-Hodgkins Lymphoma is not yet priced into the stock.

Although he prefers First Niagara Financial (FNFG), Cramer would consider buying New York Community Bancorp (NYB) now that it is trading below its expected secondary offering price of $13. Cramer confesses he is warming up to NYB because it has boosted its capital reserves.
