A recent survey found that Chinese use modern gadgets to communicate new year's wishes. Last year, China's telecom operators generated $120 million in short message service (SMS) revenue during the 7-day new year period, as
subscribers sent 9.8 billion messages. With 40 million more cell phones in circulation this year, the new year, which begins on February 9th, should be more than a national holiday for some technology companies.
