Cramer's Lightning Round - No Mere Finger Waving At Michael Kors (1/8/14)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round segment of Jim Cramer's Mad Money Program, Wednesday January 8.

Bullish Calls:

BB&T Corporation (NYSE:BBT): "It is absolutely fantastic. I like it very much. Hold it. If it pulls back, buy."

Frank's International (NYSE:FI): "We recommended it and reviewed it after it fell apart. The stock is a wild trader, but the business is secure. We are not backing away."

BioMarin (NASDAQ:BMRN), NPS Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:NPSP): Cramer prefers these stocks to MannKind.

Genuine Parts (NYSE:GPC): "It is a very good, consistent player."

Core Labs (NYSE:CLB): "I'm not worried (about negative press). It is a premier oil technology company. The stock has pulled back 10%. That seems to be a level to buy and not to sell."

Exact Sciences (NASDAQ:EXAS): "We recommended that, and then there was bad news, people wanted to take my head off and sue me, but it is a good diagnostic company. It is going higher."

Bearish Calls:

Michael Kors (NYSE:KORS): "There was a negative analyst report. The stock is getting hammered. I know enough to know I need to wait and see. The research was too compelling for me to believe it was just finger waving in the sky."

Universal Display (NASDAQ:OLED): "I'm not so bullish. I think it is expensive, and I'm concerned about it."

MannKind (NASDAQ:MNKD): "Too speculative...too risky."
