Cramer's Lightning Round - The Transition To Natural Gas Is Not Happening Fast Enough (1/9/14)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round segment of Jim Cramer's Mad Money Program, Thursday January 9.

Bullish Calls:

Barracuda Networks (NYSE:CUDA), Palo Alto (NYSE:PANW): "I like CUDA because I like Firewall, but I like Palo Alto Networks better."

Galena Pharmaceutical (GALE): "That is a late stage oncology drug company. I'm willing to bless it. I'm willing to speculate."

Phillips 66 (NYSE:PSX): "The refiners are doing well because of the domestic oil price compared to what they can sell overseas. It isn't done. I would not buy PSX here, but if it pulls back, it is a buy."

Hexcel (NYSE:HXL): "These (aerospace plays) are all going higher."

Intel (NASDAQ:INTC): "Intel is doing everything right. We are buyers."

Bearish Calls:

Westport Innovations (NASDAQ:WPRT): "The transition to natural gas is going to occur, but it is slow going, and the whole segment is under pressure. It is too speculative. The transition is not happening fast enough."

Intercept Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ICPT): "Any time you have this kind of move ... you take profits. I want you to take two-thirds a position off. This is a big move."
