Cramer's Lightning Round - Delcath Has Something Going (5/25/10)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the lightning round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Tuesday May 25.

Bullish Calls:

Delcath Systems (NASDAQ:DCTH): "Well, didn’t they have that liver cancer breakthrough, man?… I have got to tell you that I am a huge believer… and people could say, Jim, you are playing it too speculatively… but anybody who has got that sort of breakthrough medicine… chemo, for these horrible cancers… I think represent great hope… I never want to say too much hope because that would be wrong… but I do think that Delcath has something going."

Wendy's (NYSE:WEN), Darden Restaurants (NYSE:DRI): "Yeah, I do not want to give up on Wendy’s… I know that Wendy’s has been on a real tough road here… a lot of the food retailers have come down too… I also like Darden’s, it has come all the way down… Wendy’s is under pressure… but I like the turn… it has been $5, $4, $5, $4... Catch the low end of the range… I would like to buy some."

Norfolk Southern Corp. (NYSE:NSC), Union Pacific (NYSE:UNP): "They are both great… What can I tell you? I happen to prefer Union Pacific, I think that they have got better contract roll over… Norfolk reported a great number… I like the rails… but Union Pacific is my favorite."

SPDR Goldshares ETF (NYSEARCA:GLD): "I prefer SPDR Gold ETF (to Seabridge)."

Kinder Morgan Partners (NYSE:KMP): "Kinder Morgan has made people a lot of money… I am not backing away from KMP."

Bearish Calls:

Alcoa (NYSE:AA): "I have given up on Alcoa… and I am actually a Dow 8260 disaster scenario... it could get hammered a lot more than the others…I will not recommend Alcoa."

Seabridge Gold (NYSEMKT:SA): "I know it… look, it is up, it is up on a real spike… I like gold... if that is the way that you want to play gold, that is fine… I prefer SPDR Gold ETF, I prefer bullion, and I prefer gold coins… that is the way that I am… I do not want to have any mining risk if I can avoid it."

Linn Energy (LINE): "...That relies on a lot of hedges for natural gas… and natural gas cannot seem to lift its head… that is why I prefer something far less... I do not want to say dangerous because Linn is very well run… but let’s say, speculative… and that is Kinder Morgan Partners."
