Citi announces core target holdings of WPZ, CQP, EPD, NTI and remarkably BWP and an aggregate 10% total return target for the next 12 months.

The Alerian MLP index gained 0.93% for the week against a down week for the S&P 500 -0.48%. There were 10 new 52-week highs and no new lows from the MLPs tracked on MLPData.com. Retail demand for packaged products continues to expand, with over $440MM in new flows this week from new and existing funds.

Unit Value Winners and Losers

There seems to be no specific news propelling Sunoco Logistics Partners (NYSE:SXL) higher. The units have been on an uptrend since October 2013 and 9.85% YTD.

Among the widely held MLPs, Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (NYSE:KMP) and LinnCo LLC (LNCO) recovered just enough at the end of the week to stay out of the Top 10 losers.

Distribution Rate Changes

Since there were no dividend announcements this week. This week's chart scan lists the top MLP yield increases so far in 2014.

Share Issuance News

Calumet Specialty Products (NYSE:CMLP), Regency Energy Partners (NYSE:RGP) and SunCoke Energy Partners LP (NYSE:SXCP) all registered ATM programs for an aggregate $1.15B. Exterran Partners LP (EXLP) taps the secondary market to finance a previously announced transaction from 3/5/14. ETF, CEF and Mutual Fund Money Flows

MLP money flows picked up to $238 million this week, up from $195 million last week. Mutual funds took in $181 million and ETFs gathered $57 million. MLP closed-end funds discounts improved by .57 with the Cushing MLP Total Return Fund (NYSE:SRV) leading the pack with a 24.5% premium to NAV as investors chase the 11% yield derived from leverage and aggressive dividend capture trading strategies.

Next Week's Earnings Calendar

Global Partners LP (NYSE:GLP) reports earnings on Monday, 3/31 and then the MLP market takes a two week break before the Q1 earnings reports start to hit the wires which will provide more insight to the weather related volume issues reported in Q4.
