Cramer's Lightning Round - Walgreen: Good Company, One Dog of an Industry (9/23/10)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the lightning round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Thursday September 23.

Bullish Calls:

American Superconductor (NASDAQ:AMSC): "American Superconductor is terrific. It's a wind play...It's absolutely marvelous technology. I want you to buy, buy, buy."

Agnico-Eagle Mines (NYSE:AEM), Eldorado Gold (NYSE:EGO): "I've got Sean Boyd [CEO] delivering what I think is going to be a blowout quarter for Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. I've got Eldorado Gold Corp... as my junior growth stock that I want to buy... buy, buy, buy! They're both better than yours."

Bearish Calls:

Walgreen (WAG): "You know... I'm going to have to ask you to sell, sell, sell... Walgreen's. Sorry. Because you know that I think the company is really well-run, but that is one dog of an industry, and I don't want to touch it."

MEMC Electronics (WFR): "Alright, it is a bad stock. You're absolutely right. It's a company that's repeatedly disappointed. It makes wafers for solar. It's down so low... I've got to tell you... I'd wait until it goes back to $13-14 to sell. And I am no friend of that stock, but I can't have you sell it here. I think it could rally a little, but then I want you to sell, sell, sell! And, if you're really itching... if you've got something else to buy more... then sell it right here."

U.S. Gold Corporation (NYSE:UXG): "Don't buy, don't buy."
